Teh SuperFailureCommittee

Watch the rhetoric coming from D.C. Now that the committee has "failed," across-the-board spending cuts (called sequestering) are supposed to kick-in automatically.

Congress has already been looking for ways to get around the sequester. Obama has publicly threatened to veto such attempts. Meanwhile, I mentioned here that spending cuts often mean cuts in proposed spending, not actual monies spent.

Here's Rand Paul on this topic:

'I think we need to be honest about it,” Paul said. “The interesting thing is there will be no cuts in military spending. This may surprise some people, but there will be no cuts in military spending because we're only cutting proposed increases. If we do nothing, military spending goes up 23% over 10 years. If we sequester the money, it will still go up 16%. So spending is still rising under any of these plans. In fact, if you look at both alternatives, spending is still going up. We're only cutting proposed increases in spending.'
The state always grows. lol at voters.

It's all by design, you think they're not chess masters thinking 20 moves ahead all the time?
Depends on who "they" are...

I think the money behind the Dems in the superfailurecommittee was up against the money behind the repugs there and this is the result.

Sure, there could have been some bilderberg/NWO/illuminati forces that orchestrated these two against each other knowing in advance that this would be the outcome, but as we said in that last bilderberg thread, there's no point in barking up that tree.

So I'm going to point blame at the lobbyists' tools; our reps. Americans had BETTER replace those stonewalling-bastards after this or there is no hope for them at all.

Fine with me.
The system is clearly broken and is not going to fix itself. The sooner that becomes obvious to the "average joe" the sooner we can get around to either voting the fuckers out or building something better.

What??? Do you seriously believe that the Democrats and Republicans have different agendas? Come on man, don't tell me you actually think that.

Of course it's planned. You don't play around with trillions of dollars, and say, "well, not quite sure right now, but maybe in the next 72 hours we'll be able to come up with a plan". It just simply doesn't happen.
