i called it before the episode started, wife couldn't believe it; but they made it pretty predictable.
i heard there'll be 2 more 8 episode seasons till it's over. I suspect he will die in the series finale, yet at peace with his "dark passenger". hopefully it's not that predictable.

Yeah it's been building up to it, especially from last season where Deb nearly catches him with that one chick, but they had a plastic barrier between them.
Just crazy to see it actually happen, I cannot wait to see how it all plays out next season.. They kind of left Dexter a possible out though. He could try to explain that Travis tried to kill Harrison and he sought revenge, still fucked but not as fucked as 'oh hey, im a serial killer, sorry i didn't tell you". lol
The Wire is one of the best shows ever. Dexter is good, too. But it hasn't held up quite as well as The Wire did. In terms of quality as the seasons went on. Also I would say that The Wire is head and shoulders above Breaking Bad..
Can't wait for the next season of Dexter though. Generally Cliff Hangers just kinda piss me off. But knowing that another season is absolutely coming and I wont be fucked in that way makes me super exited for what they'll do next.

I found the whole Deb-in love with Dexter thing interesting and disturbing. Not sure what you guys think, but to me it's an example of how psychologists can kind of implant thoughts into suggestible people's heads where there were none before. I never noticed anything other than sisterly love towards Dex before the psychologist implanted the idea of romance.

The whole thing is kinda weird because they were married and divorced IRL; I wonder how much of the emotion she shows on the screen is real.
I think next season they will find Marlo in a vacant, and McNulty will come in and bust Dexter, Deb and that scandalous bitch Maria. So in the last season, Dexter will be killing his cellmates in their sleep until he gets lethal injected.
Yeah dude, I thought it was all really kind of strange, they kept eluding that something was going to happen with him... with the video game, his fascination with Dexter, ... then nothing really happened.. so I guess it's all being set up for the next season.

Kind of fucked up because it's like that shrink established a high level of trust and then BAM slammed her with 'you are in love with your brother'... so of course that is going to fuck w/ her head... on a seperate note though, they aren't really blood related, so I would still fap to the sex scene.
I would welcome this. She is easily the most absurd character on the show. Bitch has an emotional breakdown every fucking episode. She'd have no respect as a lieutenant.

I must be smoking some good ass crack because The Wire is on another universe than Dexter in terms of TV shows.
If The Wire is a novel, Dexter is a comic book.
The Wire > any TV show ever made. And there are literally hundreds of thousands which will argue you to the death, more than any other TV show out. I don't usually cite such nonsense, but the fucking show has an average of 9.6/10 on IMDB with nearly 50k votes.
And I'm a HUGE Dexter fan.
This finale was good, decent season, a good bounce back from the 2 previous seasons which weren't as good IMO.
I liked Mos Def's character a lot. Dude can really act. Colin Hands played a good sicko. Overall good season.
