Nelly was a fuckin blast, and Darren worked his ass off putting this event together...again.
As with any event, its the people you're with that really make it, seems like the haters got stuck at the wrong VIP tables to me.

I liked it. Little slow midway through but the ending finished up nice.

Not sure why people try to make the party scene into a competition. It's not, to each their own. We had no shortage of people so it couldn't be that bad or they wouldn't be there. Guess it sucked so bad that 3000 people made the effort to get there and participate ALL NIGHT.
Congrats to all of the parties at the show. I heard they were all amazing. Can't blame companies for sponsoring parties no matter who organizes them or what their entertainment format is. I think it's cool there were crazy kinds of options. Catch an MMA fight in the background of a networking event, partying in the hardwood suite at the Palms, strip club or live music with diverse musical acts. If a sponsor can see the value in entertaining their clients and prospects good for them.
What's funny is that our haters, lot's of them were hoping for Skrillex. Did any of the Nelly haters notice we had 2 opening acts, one of which had a sound like Skrillex with a dub-step & glitch hop twist? Black Rock City Allstars were amazing (those fuzzy bear hat's). We also had YT Cracker with his great taste in music spinning for over an 90 minutes to start the show. Even flew in a famous battle DJ that tours with Prince, Beyonce, Diddy and was a founding member of the Executioners also recorded hit songs with EMPD back in the day. Oh yeah, forgot that we also had a 2011 Grammy nominated artist, Jonathan Emile do a quick set. He's recording with KRS1, J. Cole and a few other big names.
We change things up, we like to feature our own industry as well. Rob Hustle did a special dedication rap for another industry player that has passed. The Ball is about this industry and we try to give the spotlight back regardless that Nelly played. You really want to hate on all that?
Get back to work so you can afford to fly out and see what these parties are really about. Maybe you'd pick up some tips and make contacts to pay for a flight and hotel.

And for the record, I could care less about the haters comments on my own events. I just want to set the record straight on what really happens at these because haters are like the misinformation minister. Not fair to the sponsors that a few people that either didn't stay because they were rushing to get into another party somewhere else or didn't even come are bashing THEIR event. The Ball isn't my event, it's the sponsors.
On a much more positive note, Ad Tech is next on April 3rd in San Fran. Looking for sponsors and we're about to figure out an artist. I'd love some feedback on who you'd like to see perform.
