SC Republican Debate

You're right, but he's also right too.. the problem is, your average dumb fuck American doesn't understand much of what he says because it's not dumbed down and user-friendly.

for example, he'll say things like "liquidating debt" and "sound money", I'd bet 80% of people watching don't know what either of those phrases mean.

I bet you couldn't find 1 in 100 that could explain either. You couldn't find 1 in 100 that even understand how the financial system works at its most fundamental levels.

This cult of personality/popularity contest is a joke.

I don't understand what the fuck Santorum and Gingrich are even doing here considering they're not even registered in some upcoming primaries and obviously don't have viable campaigns.

I just realized Ron Paul's biggest problem, he's not dumbing down his answers enough. :-/

yeah, he has the best views out of the candidates, but he just doesn't have the 'political' speaking techniques that the others have, particularly mitt romney. people will believe anything he says.

Less reason, Moar Soundbites.

ron paul flawless so far...great performance

i do kinda like newt being a dick to the media, everyone kisses their asses, its fun...what a dick though...lol

hahaha Paul nutted on Santorum (do not MAKE A MENTAL PICTURE) on the abortion question. Also, great hearing the loud boos from the crowd when they tried to skip Paul on that question.

I feel that Paul is way to passive when it comes to getting a chance to speak. So many times I notice that when one of them finishes speaking, another tries to but in and show his point of view. Paul on the other hand simply waits off to the side for a question to be directly addresses to his name.

Also, great hearing the loud boos from the crowd when they tried to skip Paul on one that question.

That was awesome. I paused it, removed my headphones, rewound it and called my husband in from the next room to watch the audience boo the host.

My thoughts on how each candidate performed:

Paul - typical, average performance. Not good for him.

Romney - bolstered support for the free enterprise movement despite being pretty well attacked about Romneycare. Good debate for him.

Santorum - he's actually doing well given the low amount of credibility/funding he's received. Tonight went well for him.

Newt - the crowd clearly liked him and he really got things started, but by the end of the debate I forgot his name. Average performance, no shot at the title.
