Clever bastards.

ACTA is a trade agreement written and spearheaded by the none other than the United States Gov. They've been trying to put this thing together since 2008 but it seems like for the first time it actually might have a chance of going through in Europe.

Funny thing is, the US gov wont provide full disclosure of what the agreement entails, this is taken straight from wikipedia.

In September 2008 a number of interest groups urged parties to the ACTA negotiations to disclose the language of the evolving agreement. In an open letter the groups argued that: "Because the text of the treaty and relevant discussion documents remain secret, the public has no way of assessing whether and to what extent these and related concerns are merited."

The University of Ottawa's Canadian Internet Policy and Public Interest Clinic filed an access to information request but received only a document stating the title of the agreement, with everything else blacked out.

Pretty scary stuff indeed.

thats pretty scary

Yeah. It's a numbers game for them. The internet is too A.D.D. to win a war of attrition. Sooner or later people will forge-- awww ah squirrel

Help me here, as I want to have proper standing and start suing.

Why fight the system, how can you profit from it?

The fact is that if the Govt wants you , they will get you, this is just another law to stack on top of all the others.

Why are the citizens of European countries allowing their governments to the be the lap dog of the U.S. government?

Wouldn't BTGuard (or a VPN) get around your ISP? If so then how many teeth does it actually have?

ACTA is already in place and signed by a dozen countries. I wonder if any of these countries, actually read or understood the law. Megaupload case was done under ACTA

VPN is 90s mate. Can't they figure out when u connect to VPN. i know ISPs does in countries like middle east where people use VPN to make Voip calls and they start filtering packets the moment u connect to VPN. So thats ruled out

I wish Anonymous would dedicate itself to constantly making great films like this one and getting them more widely distributed.

If every time our liberties were threatened we knew we could expect another high-quality Anon explanation then it would be like a true alternative to the MSM that everyone knows about and expects.
