Got this in one of my subscribed newletters.

What do you think? I partly agree with him, the market is getting more and more satured.

Code:
I don't know about you, but I seem to get so many emails
lately about CPA (cost per action) leads and how to make
money from them!

Knowing the Lead Gen business very well I can predict one
thing in this year...

* By the end of this year, CPA will no longer be an effective
way to create an income online *

How can I say this?

Well, if CPA follows the same patterns as Adsense,Blogging,
and many of the other 'hot trends' for the year, and there is
nothing to suggest it won't; then there will be 10,000's
jumping on board the CPA bandwagon and making the wheels fall
off!

As soon as 10,000's of people start using CPA to monetize
their online businesses a number of things are likely to
happen:

1- The Search Engines will change
2- The CPA networks will change
3- The companies that provide the offers to CPA networks
will change.

All in all, this change, usually means for the worse! Just
take a look at Adsense and how easy it was to make money
only a year ago? Now it's much more difficult and time "
consuming to get a lot less reward!

Agreed the market is getting saturated, but that won't stop it being a viable source of income. Citing Adsense and Blogging as similar examples just proves my point - plenty of people are still making a (very nice) living off both.

Markets get saturated, that's part of the economic cycle, but it doesn't mean they're no longer viable.

Which newsletter did you get this from?

Uhh... what?

CPA offers have been around for ages. It is by no means a new "hot trend" that will fade away like a fad. So maybe there are more affiliate networks offering CPA offers, but so how is this supposed to "saturate" the market?

There are plenty of people doing affiliate marketing and there always has been. Yeah, the NUMBER of affiliate marketers is growing and there are more people doing this than 1,3,5 or 10 years ago. But guess what? There are more and more people using the internet for every year too. :)
I don't have exact numbers and statistics at hand, but you can bet your dollar on that percentage-wise, these things even out.

The online userbase is steadily growing year by year internationally. Many countries are way behind. Some are at a point where the U.S. was 10 years ago. The market is enormous. Huge. Big.

Google and other search engines will also help to limit the majority of the spammy sites. I mean, we get frustrated at Google sometimes for their quality score, ranking policies, smartpricing, etc. But in a way that serves a good cause too. It filters out a lot of the shit-sites.

The internet is still a baby learning how to grow.

This is the stupidest thing I've ever read.

Monetization revolves around traffic. More competition for niche traffic? Yes. But as long as you're getting traffic there WILL be ways to monetize it and CPA and PPC will always be two of the top. This "newsletter" shows no logic... unsubscribe immediately.

I have not been in the market long at all, I have noticed there is alot of people starting to try to make a living working on the internet. Im sure there will be areas that over infested with money hungry people. There will always be a market for people wanting to spend money. Its just time to become even more creative and try to make a $buck from something the other guy IS NOT doing. Think some refer to this as <Thinking outside the box>

The number 1 rule in life...

Don't take advice on how to loose weight from a fat guy.

You can't really take any of these newsletters seriously, 90% of the time the authors goal is never to inform but to promote his/her exiting or upcoming product. Adsense and blogging has changed but its definately not dead unless you try to throw up random blogs with duplicate/article content of course you won't make money.

i've said this before...

one of the most inspiring things i ever read was when I was starting to learn how to make money online was a quote i randomly read on a dropship forum- basically the guy said 'there will always be people who think that making money online is impossible because there is so much competition - but think about 20 years from now, people will still be trying to make money online and saying to themselves 'man i wish i could have gotten in during the golden age 20 years ago!'...'

this market is still growing at an incredible rate - there are literally millions of people who don't ever go online still, and many who still use dial up modems - lots of room for growth... and don't forget that 99.9% of people trying to make money online are idiots.

I didnt read all the replies so if im reiterating what someone else said im sorry. But come one, sure there are more and more people trying to get into affiliate marketing, and a lot of markets are already and have been saturated, does that mean people dont make money there? Hell no, people make bank in those markets. Plus if everyone is trying to become an affiliate you don't think more and and more companies aren't gunna start offering CPA things growing the market and growing a lot of niches monotization choices. If anything its gunna keep growing not die by the end of the year. It might get more competative but that will just weed out some stragglers after they loose some money. Whoever wrote this newsletter is damn dumb

Excellent post.

It fucking amazes me. My roommate, one of my best friends since I was a kid, doesn't even have an email account. One day he wanted to look at porn on my computer, I had to show him how to use google to find it. He's 25 years old, I just can't believe how many people are still clueless when it comes to computers.

And back on topic, yes it's saturated. So is nearly every profitable business on the planet. Some will make tons of money, most won't. Business has been that way long before affiliate marketing.

boo hoo this sounds like another fucking death of "insert money making method here" shit that was running around the Gurus and Warrior Forum a while back, this is basic marketing, create a fear and then offer a solution, stop being a sheep and get to work.

it will be saturated and hard for the followers......
For leaders who can use their brain, $$$$$ for life.
