What to Charge for Banners on my site?

A Client is asking me for rates on different banner sizes. I always sell text links, so this is kinda new for me. What are the going rates for site wide banners in sizes 160x600, 240x400, 300x250, 336x280, 468x60, 728x90? The site is PR 2 and 8 years old.
 


Sorry, but what's so stupid about it? Someone was asking a in another thread for the going rates on text links which was not seen as stupid.
 
There's no one-size-fits-all answer. Depends on your market. What the are the going rates for the authority sites in your vertical?

For the reason mentioned above and for the fact that domain age and pr have nothing to do with selling advertising spots.

Not for you maybe, but just about every client I have is first and foremost interested in PR. That myth still holds and is quite profitable for me.

Traffic is not much; about 100 visitors per day and in the automotive niche. I actually didn't touch this site for about a year, but somehow it attracts a lot interest.

100 visitors a day "attracts a lot of interest" ?
 
Honest answer - the pr doesn't play a role for the banner.

I used to own a site which is in the gambling niche, was pr1 and ranking for various keywords, a big player on the niche paid me 1k for just a few sentence and text link which are visible to my visitors.

So like the rest above said, the factors come from your niche and the market, why don't you try asking the person at the other end to suggest a price which he think is right, then you start adjusting from their to fit both your perspective on the value of price.. since there is no base for it.

Well considering you only get around 100 visitors a day....

I wouldn't pay more than $20 a month for that considering I can get more impressions for the same price doing a solo ad on somebodies E-mail list...

Ask what he's willing to pay and if it's more than that I'd take it!
 
It depends on the quality of the site..i think if your site is good managed, and strong PR you can ask as much as you want :P

This is really "low" traffic... it's best to ask advertiser (and accept anything :smilie_weihn_winki:)

IMO, max $5/month.
