Figured I'll fuck with your mind first thing in the morning when you read this.

Try to answer as quickly as possible, later on you can easily find the answer online but the point is to understand how your brain processes it.

A bat and a ball cost $1.10 in total. The bat costs $1 more than the ball. How much does the ball cost?

Anyways, it seems basic but supposedly more than half the students at Princeton gave the wrong answer.

I have a final in a psyc class on critical thinking and I had to summarize the book and since I know some of you are avid readers, I'll post my summary later on next week when I have to study for it.

Alright fuck then, Well obviously most people think $0.10. The point of that example was to prove that most people trust a plausible judgement that comes to mind without thinking about it.

It is an example of attribute substitution.

He gives another example where some Americans were offered insurance against their own death in a terrorist attack while on a trip to Europe, while another group were offered insurance that would cover death of any kind on the trip. Even though "death of any kind" includes "death in a terrorist attack," the former group were willing to pay more than the latter. Kahneman suggests that the attribute of fear is being substituted for a calculation of the total risks of travel. Fear of terrorism for these subjects was stronger than a general fear of dying on a foreign trip.

Thats all. Fuck that was worthless.

Off to jack then bed. Peace fuckers

Although I've had a few beers tonight I feel like an actual spastic for having to look this one up.

Please direct my tongue to my elbows for an intense session of licking is about to begin

I'm stupid. I thought it was 10 cents too, and then was still confused when I read it was 5 cents. lol.

I can see how the instant reactionary answer would be $0.10. Your mind sees $1.10, $1, subtracts it, and voila. Same as those paragraphs we can read with all the middle letters scrambled. The human mind is lazy (or efficient, depending on how you view it), and will always take the easiest possible route.

But anyone who spends more than 10 seconds on that, should be able to get $0.05, especially Princeton students!

That took me longer than I want to talk about to figure out....

What's it like going through life with such a low intelligence? Do you love to "go clubbin", get "shit faced" and "find nasty sluts to screw"? Lol, gotta love the peasant fodder that allows me to live such a comfortable life without working.
