Who's a fan of reggae music here? Roots & Dancehall. Drop your tunes.

I start with Collie Buddz. Fucking talented dude. This guy is to reggae what Eminem is to hiphop. I'll let you figure out why...

well it's all about putting yourself in the right setting bro: grab a glass of mojito, sit by the beach, smoke a bong and trust me you'll feel it! I can never listen to this stuff when I'm sitting in front of my computer trying to get some work done.

also, aside from jazz, classical, country and a few others, most types of music have beats that consist of repetitive sets of kicks and snares. (mainly those involving drums). Like I said though, you need the right setting.

No, I mean they all re-use the same beats as all the other songs have.

OK I know what you're talking about now. Your talking about "riddims", which are essentially battles between several dancehall artists that sing on the same beat, to see who kills the beat. (or who "murders" it like they like to say!). Those are not very common though, you hear them mostly in underground reggae bars and reggae radios. It's for the hardcore fanatics only lol
