It's called Leap 3d and is 100x more accurate than Kinect. Shit like this makes it apparent we're moving into science fiction type of future fast

Waa, I watched Minority Report some 2 days ago, it's still awesome even after 10 years.

Is that Leap thing available for purchase now, or just a prototype?
edit: nwm, watched video until end.

in 3 months time every webmaster's shoulders will look like this..

I *think* part of the issue w/ the kinect is the requirements of processing from the xbox itself (requiring too much power to utilize right) however a PC has plenty of power. This could be VERY cool for use with a treaddesk.

Holy fuck... Dude was playing angry birds with Chop Sticks and using a pen to write on the screen from a foot away!

I've never been so impressed with an input device before. Excepting only for the fact that yeah, it does take serious shoulder muscles to use it for long periods of time, this is truly evolutionary, making the Kinect look like a limited concept.

About the shoulder muscles thing, no one said you can't have your elbow on your desk though when doing all of this. With the Kinect I didn't feel that was possible, because it was looking for bigger motions... But this thing lets you write with a pen from a distance! It'll surely let you keep your elbows on your desktop or armrests to do certain tasks.

This is the future of the mouse, boys... It WILL be built into every laptop and monitor in 2013 and beyond, count on it!

If you're actually worried about your shoulders getting tired from moving around, you guys really need to hit the gym more

Considering how old the actual kinect is, wonder what MS has up their sleeve with the new kinect...?

This is seriously a fucking game changer. It's going to take a lot of industries in new directions. You could theoretically type in mid air. Say goodbye to the Cintiq art tablets. Say hello to more awesome hand use in games possibly without having to hold on to a controller. Super excited if I could buy one right now I would.
