Also, what about alumni networks? (assuming you are an alumnus from somewhere). Some of these can be pretty active depending on the locality and will offer regular events.
I've looked into this, it seems that they require belief in a "higher power". Apparently, after the initial initiation, this isn't mentioned, and it's actually against the rules to ask someone about their beliefs in a higher power. This higher power can be anything though, including nature. It's very non-specific.Sorta....
From what i've read:
"Freemasonry in fact requires of its members no specific view of a supreme being, as Deism would do, but rather a simple belief in a supreme being."
EDIT: Another reference
"It is religious in that a belief in a Supreme Being and in the immortality of the soul are the two prime requirements for membership, but it is nonsectarian in that no religious test is used."
Of course I'm no member...
2 questions you probably already answered somewhere else:
are you married / children?
the people in the town, did you go to grade school/high school with them?
this is really only an issue that applies to people that live in the southern USA, the rest of the world doesn't have this problem
the best solution is to relocate yourself from the cesspool of ignorance known as the southern states
where are you going w/ this?

Good post.
I am in the thick of the bible belt and mostly, it drives me crazy. I've been thinking I need to go to church for meeting chicks, but I never really thought through how easy it would be to sell services. Honestly, I can't think of one single place that would be better to meet potential clients than church. Would this be considered black hat offline marketing?
Hell, you could go to one church on Wed and the other on Sun and I guarantee your income would rise if you played your cards right. Plus, you could find Jesus.
