Browsers look like total shit, I'm close to taking mine back. Applications, icons, and windows all look fantastic...but anything in a browser blows. Super pixelated.

Stick to using Safari, or Chrome with the retina plug-in.

But sure go ahead take it back. You'll be kicking yourself in the ass later when webmasters and websites start using higher res graphics and you're stuck on your standard display looking at pixels. Apple's ahead of the game.

Yes, because this is gonna happen so soon...

By the time the webmasters catch up Apple and their billion dollar marketing machine will be pumping out another "must have" device. I like Apple, and I think the new MBP is sweet, but take Steve Jobs' decrepit balls out of your mouth.

It was the exact point I tried to make in the first place about why such a screen is fairly useless.

Don't know what those other fools in this thread are talking about, but thx for the post.

Chrome Canary ftw.

Only took me a day to get used to it. I rarely notice it anymore, and it definitely doesn't bother me to the point where I'd want to return my rMBP to the store.

Download Chrome Canary. Most of the annoying pixelation goes away.

Welcome.

Just saying, it's almost like getting an HDTV back in the early 2000s and saying "Fuck this shit, there's only like 2 HD channels". I'm sure you want your MBPR to remain relevant 2+ years, and it will.

Is there a way to get a screenie or something? I know it might not look the same in the screenshot, but worth a shot.

I bought a 2.6 w/ 16gb without ever seeing the screen solely for the performance upgrade (doubling of ram is huge for me since I have a W7 VM going at all times).

Haven't gotten it in the mail yet but should be a solid upgrade over an early 2011 2.3 w/ 8gb and a 128gb SSD.

Did you buy it mainly for the screen?

The screen is so sick, you're going to love it.
