Got banned by Google Adsense



- Sell your portfolio, or recicle the content.
- Get another account (maybe as an LLC)
- ...
- Profit


(you can always try other ways to monetize your sites, but depends on the market they are in)
 
The site was very hard to monetize with other offers, hence the reason I was using adsense.

I'm tempted to just sell the site, but it feels bad since it was just generating me revenue without any work at all.

If I get another account under an LLC will they just ban my sites again?

Also I tried one other general text ad network and was unsuccessful, are there any other's even close to google adsense?
 
When it happened to me I tossed up some other ppc type ads and moved on. Now I'm rebuilding slowly and trying to be smarter. My new adsense account is an llc and nothing can connect me to the old account, new registrar, host, mailing address.

I'd like to clarify that my original question was made in the hopes that you'd say something like "how am I supposed to make money online without Adsense?", 'cause that's what your original post seemed to be implying, and I just wanted to see you say it outright.

But to half-respond to your question - If anything, you should be fucking celebrating you got banned from Adsense and start pursuing more equitable, profitable ventures instead of trying to find some bullshit workaround to get another Adsense account. Jesus christ.

find out who are the advertisers that showed ads on your site and make them a better deal than Google. I'm sure they'll love a little more freedom with their creatives and landing pages

Contacting the Advertisers is out of the question as the type of ads displaying on the site were more general ads, less specific to the niche. I don't think it would work out.

You would be surprised how much money there is in making sites that aren't your typical health/fitness/insurance niche. There is a lot of space for niche topics and can make you decent money.

I suppose this topic would be better suited for a SEO board.

I could try out some general offers that would fit my niche in a very broad sense, or try to find out the type of people that visit my site.

Just wondering if anyone had experience with other ad networks similar to google adsense.
 
Also anyway to look at past earnings from an adsense account after being banned? Might just want to flip the sites that were being monetized by adsense, but without revenue proof it's going to be hard to sell.

If you were having success with general/retargeted advertisers, than what you need to do is start running some tests with CPA on the site. Put 20 different offers in a rotation and see what if anything converts, drop the losers and add in a few new offers and continue.

If you do this enough times, you'll eventually build up a small rotation of converting offers and I'd be surprised if you weren't able to raise your EPC above whatever you were gettting with AdSense.

You might start looking at offers by considering your demographic.

Male or Female?

Old or Young?

These questions can help you choose offers that might be appealing to your visitors.

It's not a short process by any means, and it certainly lacks the instant gratification of PPC ad placement, but in the end, it will be more profitable for you.

I'll get started on running some CPA offers.

What tools do you use to find out about the demographic of your visitors? I have a youtube video with a fair amount of views that links to the site, so I can use that.

But Google Analytics only tracks location and language.

Depending on your niche, it may be easy or difficult to isolate your core demographic, short of using a poll or and opt-in, I think it's a case of estimation, but I can't think of too many topics that split 50/50 down the middle.

You can PM me with some general information about the niche if you want, I'll see if I have any ideas.
 
Getting banned from AdSense was what prompted me to get into CPA.

That said, I acknowledge that not every site is best monetized with CPA (or even CPS). Sometimes it's just easy to throw up the AdSense code and let non-ROI focused advertisers pay for your traffic.

So, if you decide not to pursue CPA, get another AdSense account (use a family member, business partner, LLC, etc.). I'm sure there's some good info out there about how to do this w/o being traced.

Alternatively, you can sell your ad space to other ad networks (banners).
