I do agree that GMO foods are necessary to feed our growing world population, but that doesn't mean I have to eat the shit.
 


So eating an avocado is exactly the same as eating a tablespoon of vegetable/peanut oil or lard?

Giving your body shots of refined glucose creates the same enzymes and process for your body to utilize it?

Taking a vitamin D pill is an equal substitute for sunlight?

Adding sugar to products that shouldn't normally have it if you make it yourself, to adjust the taste for their shitty ingredients, is good for us?

I know I sure dump a cup+ of sugar or corn syrup on my fresh salsas and fruit salads when I make them. Salad dressings too!

Evolution is a process that's constantly going on but changes to our digestion or whatever don't happen nearly fast enough to adapt our bodies to changes we do to our food even through centuries.

Have you ever calculated how changing one single variable in your diet that was the exact same for months on end affects your BF percentage? No, you haven't fat fuck. I have, I can assure you that even changing from fucking frozen green beans to god damn frozen brussel sprouts can make a difference, and I can damn well bet my left nut that eating 30 grams of sugar from a snickers does not affect your BF levels the same way 30 grams of sugar from an apple does.

...Supplement. Key word. It provides vit D in addition to what you receive by sunlight. It is the same chemical. The method in which you get it makes a difference, ie skin via sunlight vs digestion. The body takes things in differently, why do you think you snort cocaine and not swallow it

You still can't. GMO is done to decrease nutrient requirements, increase drought resistance, and make a plant not attractive to pests.

There has been absolutely zero evidence showing GMO is dangerous to humans. None. Ever.

Because it works on the same underlying principle - that is to introduce genetical traits that aren't present in the "normal" breed. The breeding we do is just an old fashioned way of achieving the same effect.

If you're afraid a pig gene in a tomato will have an unforeseen effects on our bodies you are right - it can have, just as a new breed of certain vegetable can have. That's why we do research and tests etc when a new food is introduced for human consumption.

It's not only empty calories but caloric DENSITY. Let's just go with a 2000 calorie diet for the average person. A 12oz can of coke has like 200 calories or so in it. Bam, there's 10% of a person's daily caloric needs in a drink that takes 2 minutes to consume. A slice of pizza? 250 calories or more. Single snickers bar? 300 calories.

Pretty much every processed food is like this, small serving size but massive caloric density and terrible macro (protein/carbs/fats) split. It becomes really easy to eat like a filthy pig even though half the time you don't even feel full eating it.

I love going to Costco to buy food, and I just happened to check the calories in the Chicken Wrap (my favorite) they have and that bad boy weighed in at a whopping 1000 calories in 1 sandwich. It's ridiculous.
