Unemployment is high because many Americans are too proud to work shitty jobs to take care of themselves, and instead would prefer to watch Oprah while being on the government's tit.

There's like 3.6 million jobs openings in the US. It's just people don't want to work at Walmart, or as a phone rep, or whatever.

There are people who milk the system, but notice though that the amount hired was over 4 million, and probably many of those filled openings from last month.

Places like Walmart often have high worker turnover. This leads to constant "job openings" even if they are also constantly doing hiring to replace the people who leave.

Walmart is relatively efficient and they must know that having less than X number of employees will impact the bottom line. If they were really having an issue they would increase their starting wages and promote this. Every Christmas season they greatly increase the amount of work hours. They wouldn't be able to do this without the constant stream of people willing to work for them.
