Google are awful.

I hate the way they have destroyed the level playing field in search. It's only going to get worse I mean more difficult for small sites to rank well.

Btw Bing announced their feature for disavowing links. And Google?
 
They are just after money. When they don't or can't make enough, they change rules. Its always like that. Looks at the horrible search results you see everyday at google, Paid links all plastered over and nicely blended into the search results. Today Paid results continue to get higher CTR than search.
 
Can't say I'm too surprised. We all know google defines Evil as murder, rape, cloaking & and excessive backlinking... Everything else is gray-hat to them.
 
Old news, also not a big deal. What's a little tracking here and there?

The only problem I see is that the government finds it acceptable to fine a corp for some cookies, whilst monitoring every data bit that comes from their citizens. Fuck that.
 
Getting picked on by FTC doesn't mean they are evil, just big enough to be on their radar as another opportunity to publicly flex their muscles. Is it Google's fault that their competitors are clueless and/or disinterested in competing in the market?

I am no friend of G as their policies are completely fascistic and it's a wonder anyone does business with them anymore, but they sure are effective in competing for search users.
