I'm reading Bad Pharma at the moment, and it's... enlightening.

I already knew the pharma industry was rotten, but this book shows in explicit detail HOW rotten the entire regulatory and scientific publishing system is.

Thought I'd share it, as I know are are a few more pharma haters here:

Tldr: no, they don't appear to be hiding a cure for cancer or any other 'conspiracy' nonsense. What are they are doing is cherry picking studies and grossly misrepresenting results to make ineffective, dangerous drugs look useful, and effective, safe treatments which are no longer profitable (due to being out of patent) look bad. And the regulators and academics often collude with them.
 


Coupled with the fact that pharma corps are responsible for their own "trials" and "studies", as FDA does not have sufficient resources to do them.

And many of the FDA committee members consists of ex-pharma execs that go back and forth between being on the pharma corp panel and FDA panel.

The system is corrupt at the core.

The author also used the Freedom of Information Act to get unpublished FDA studies. His findings are mind blowing.
 
That looks like a good read, I'll definitely check it out. The pharm industry is absolutely disgusting. I hate seeing Pfizer commercials that basically make them out to be such a Godly corporation, finding cures for everything and making life better for everyone - but I know better.

And the fact that pharm companies are in control of their own trials and studies is quite unnerving.

Yep... and if they get 5 studies which show a drug is crap, and 1 which shows it works, they are allowed to publish the 1 and bury the 5.
 
Does the book cover vaccinations at all? I laugh when I drive past the local rite aid which has like 5 yard signs advertising their "FLU SHOTS, ALL DAY, EVERY DAY" crap.
 
TONS of Pharma docs out there, many of them showcasing much more evildoing than some cherrypicking.

I first heard about the evils of big pharma when I saw Food Inc, many years ago. Even way back then I knew that the FDA needs to be disbanded and their leaders need to be rounded up and forced to take all of the "medicines" they approved at once.

The following is an awesome listing of Docs, many about big pharma, although I've only seen a few of them so far... It probably wouldn't be healthy for me to watch any more because each one makes me yearn for a gun and some explosives just a tad bit more than the last...

Also, The Trap, a documentary about freedom that Midas Touch posted the other day, had some really enlightening things to say about how our big pharma situation came into being. I learned a thing or two from that... I think the pharma stuff was in the middle chapter.

Please inject me now with my yearly dose of heavy metals and toxins, even though the chance of the shot matching with the flu strain I'll be exposed to is unlikely at best!

In addition to mercury, flu vaccines also contain other toxic or hazardous ingredients like:
