Guys I don't know if you all realize how huge this is. If Romney wins, and follows through with what has been proposed, there will be NO TAX on long-term capital gains or DIVIDENDS as long as your income is under 100-200k (depending if you're single or married). With a little creative offshoring i.e. all your monies are paid to you via dividends from a foreign corporation you don't own, this means you could literally pay ZERO TAXES. And even if he doesn't win, you still only pay 15% which ain't that bad.

FAWK YA GO ROMNEY

And you gay webmasters who are still taking it in the ass from uncle sam need to get on this shit. There are ways to seriously reduce your taxes even if you're "stuck" in the US or don't want to leave.

The question however is, why would anyone want to be an American in America when the economy collapses due to government debt and Federal Reserve monetary shenanigans?

Don't get me wrong, paying no taxes is great. And Americans don't gave a lot of options because most other countries won't allow Americans to open bank accounts now due to IRS intervention internationally.

Pretty much this. While I would love to pay less taxes, America is not in a good place for that to happen right now. Unless of course you guys want to see everything go from bad to worse. Believe me, if Romney wins America will go to shit.

Well, a lot of people either 1) like it here or 2) have reasons they can't just up and leave i.e. spouse who doesn't want to leave, close to their family, etc.

If someone was in this situation and they just got a 2nd passport and setup their shit right in the meantime, paying 0-15% tax while they waited to see what ends up happening to this country, they would probably be in a pretty good situation if TSHTF and they HAD to leave in the future.

Right, that's why you don't setup the corp and open the bank accounts as a US citizen, or if you REALLY want privacy, pay someone other people to set it all up for you under their names.

You pretty much need to involve other people anyway because if you personally own - either directly or indirectly - over 50% of a foreign corporation you need to report all that shit to Uncle Sam...

Honestly I don't really care. I wouldn't mind speeding up this whole "reset" process. Let's just fucking get it over with already instead of dragging it out forever ... it's inevitable ... let's just get it over with.

dsiomtw, I about shat when Romney said he'd do that too. Would be sweet. Considering his background and how he personally makes his money he just might try to do it.. but still we can't believe anything he says.

I am so ready for this! Let's quit ignoring the white elephant standing in the middle of the room and do a "hard reset".... this can't happen fast enough in my opinion.

EDIT: should read "non-gender,color neutral elephant in the room"

You are truly a sucker if you believe that Romney's tax plan would (a) pass Congress and (b) be even close to what he's promising. Not only does Romney have one of the worst records in regards to sticking to what he says, but his tax plan is completely unfeasible and would require too much political capital to push through.

I don't normally evade taxes, but when I plan on doing so, I make sure to talk about it in public first. </ xxx guy meme>

You should learn the difference between avoidance and evasion. I'm not talking about doing anything different than what Romney and a few million other people are doing LEGALLY.

If it benefits him and his buddies I'm sure he's much more likely to stick close to it. We shall see. And I'm not going to argue the economics of it with you - I can already tell you clearly know everything about everything.

Actually if Romney is president and the republicans retain the house (or they get some dems to vote with them) he can easily plow his tax plan through the senate the same way Bush did - through the reconciliation process. Only issue is that it's temporary and only lasts 7 or 8 years but if he wants he can do it.

I'm surprised more of you here don't support Romney just for the sake of taxes. Under the Romney plan the top rate would be 28% and under Obama it would be 39.6%. Also no taxes on income from overseas under Romney, not the case with Obama. No estate tax either, 45% estate tax under Obama.

Sure they're both the spawn of reptilian aliens sent here to bring forward the destruction of America in order to please their masters, the Rothschilds, and no matter who wins you will surely be enslaved in a FEMA camp where your organs will be harvested and resold to the Chinese for a profit but at least you'll have a few extra dollars in your pocket. Even if it's only value is in being used as toilet paper. Have you ever been to a FEMA camp? Toilet paper is in short supply.

Has anyone actually took a look at campaign contributions? Maybe someone smarter than myself can shed some light on an intriguing fact that I stumbled upon. Microsoft and Google are the number 2 and number 3 top contributors to Obama's campaign, respectively. While most of the top contributors to the R$ campaign are the banks that supported Obama in 2008. Not to mention some of the other entertainment/tech companies that are backing Obama. WTF is up with that?

A lot of those numbers are based on where the donors work.

^ Yeah, and the average age of a Google employee is around 30, so there are a buttload of people in their 20s who work there. Young people tend to lean democrat, as do tech people.

No Google or Microsoft employees in this video below, but it gives an idea of the tech types that donate to Obama :
