It's about revisiting the core of your business to ensure a propensity for long term success and sustainability.

How?

I'm currently listening to an audiobook named 'Good to Great: Why Some Companies Make the Leap... and Others Don't', which was recommended here a while back. I stumbled on this part which was so good I've listened to it several times and thought about it incessantly for the past few days. Naturally I spliced together the relevant parts so you guys can have a listen for yourself, enjoy.

This isn't the damn story about the hedgehog who "can do one thing really well" which keeps all the foxes and shit away is it? "He curls up in a ball and nothing can get to him." I had a CEO at a day job who used to tell this damn story every month, and make us all yell in unison.... "and what are we?" hedgehogs... "I can't hear you. WHAT ARE WE?!?!?" HEDGEHOGS! Good! Now go curl up in a ball!

Hahaha, that's exactly what it is. The ideas are sound though. You did say that this woman was CEO, so I assume she was doing something right? This version is much less annoying and won't be repeated every month with full walmart cheer experience(unless you want to reminisce of course).
