i got spammed by some type of xrumer

one of my sites apparently pissed off the wrong person.

basically, i received ~5,000 emails from a few thousand forums.

anyone have a guess what type of service they used? i'm assuming some type of xrumer, but how was i on the receiving end of the emails?

dude there is a wf service here that does xrumer forum posting.

Email could have came from whois or the contact form on your site?

i am guessing they just used your email address and registered a few thousand forum profiles. Notification and activation emails came to your email.
