Heh, might seem funny to some of you but I really dig the music from the 60-70s. Some of the bands I like are :

Jefferson Airplane
The Who
The Jimi Hendrix Experience
The Beatles (for real!)
The Doors
Janis Joplin
...

So am I alone in this? ps There's nothing wrong with hippies, they were happier than most of us will ever be. lsd

60/70's weren't only hippy-dippy music and disco

Rolling Stones
Black Sabbath
Dr. Feelgood
MC5
Television
Ramones
New York Dolls
The Stooges

I absolutely hate the rolling stones.

Why is that? I know that they've stretched it pretty thin over the years but their original stuff from the 60's holds up pretty well. Many of their songs are also a lot of fun to work with too. For example, in one band I was in, we did a punked up version of Sympathy for the Devil.

Kiss is awesome as well, but I don't like their albums from Dynasty till now. Oh, and how could i forget Led Zeppelin, one of the best bands ever.
