Apparently there is a military training exercise going down in Miami.... 1:15 sec in , if you just want to go straight to the gunfire.

A lot of these tragedies (9/11, Sandy Hook, etc) all happened around the time of some sort of related military exercise or training.
 
If there was ever an action for the conspiracy theorists to call fear mongering, this is it. Blank chopper-gunner fire in downtown Miami. . . what? That would be scary as shit if you weren't aware of the drill.
 
That shit was last week wasn't it? Wednesday? On thursday i saw a dozen or so military helicopters flying at a very low altitude in north Miami. No gunfire, but it was pretty cool regardless.

But yeah, it's over and done with, no incidents that I've heard of so I don't think there's conspiracy theory fodder here.

I guess they do the same type of thing in Canada. My dad used to work on offshore rigs on the east coast, and was one of the super-intendants (ie. da bawse), so if anyone was going to know about a military drill on the offshore platform, it would have been him. Nonetheless, one day they're working away as normal, and JTF2 (Canada's anti-terrorism task force) boarded the platform by surprise, and had it isolated and secured within minutes.

Scared the hell out of everyone I guess. Later on they all had a nice meal together, but I'm assuming it would have been fairly terrifying at the time.
 
I'm so glad the bleeped out the "shit" part of the "holy shit." I would have been really offended.

It's just a drill, everybody. Go back to sleep.
 
You do realize this happens in Miami alot since it's the biggest drug dropoff zone in US right? Not to far from the Heat Stadium are boat ports and docking zones. Sure they might be doing exercises but there are always choppers passing by randomly. I don't believe there can be any conspiracies in Miami. Just daily routine and media blowing it out of proportion like always.

what sort of practice is that, anyway
 
Just normal routine... That is scary statement all by itself. And it can not be that normal, otherwise the news in Miami and Houston would not be covering it.

And the people living there would not be freaked out.

Normal is flying off the coast, not down the main drag with blanks being fired.
