India is not the United States bro. Their problems are different. It's generally not thought of as safe for female backpackers to even travel through India without a male counterpart of some kind. Try not to apply your opinions of how things are in your home country to how things are abroad.
It doesn't matter if you respect women or not, even if you respect them, MOST women are ball busting bitches, not all, but most, it doesn't matter what ethnicity. I personally treat all women equal, I don't really care what they think, I care less. But I do respect their views and what they think, but personally I don't give a fuck and ignore most of them unless they have some hot physical attributes, and then I might have to waste some time with them.
It's earned when you're in a civilized country OR in an undeveloped one and are a male.
Try earning respect when you're raped by 10 men and then having no chances of pursuing justice in local courts. Or even better try earning respect when the dominant members (males) of that society don't even view you as an equal. Not gonna happen bro, you're just gonna end stabbed

It isn't the USA. It isn't about a bunch of women complaining about the fact builders wolf-whistle at the them when they walk past. Women in those countries are often seen purely as chattels, on the same level as animals, not as human beings.

I don't read random threads around here much, much less comment in them, but for some reason this one caught my eye. And this one in particular has been more thought provoking for me personally than anything "marketing talk" I've read in a long time.
Just as I was about to consider most of the folks in this thread intelligent, well reasoned people (not counting OP), I read this:

I'm sure you're a "smart" guy, as is the OP and most of the others who are in agreement with you. But this cultural belief (if we can blame it on that, rather than you) lacks any semblance of wisdom. And neither I, nor anyone else, give a shit what someone's IQ is...it's their wisdom..their ability to see through/around/over things...even the things that may seem "normal" or "just reality"...that make people successful; financially and otherwise.
I'm honestly not really sure how else to refute this claim other than examples:
