Dedicated Infrastructure for your Business - OVH

5 TB Traffic
8GB Ram
I3 2/4 3.4GHZ
2x 1TB SATA2

$39/Month.

Seems way too good to be true? But have been reading the reviews and everything is legit, but support isn't top notch, below-average. I'm with MediaTemple now, and it's $50/Month for a VPS with like 2GB Ram, lol, but their support has been beyond incredible.. So I don't think I'll switch but just curious...

Anyways, your thoughts?

OVH provides servers for many (most?) seedboxes in Europe. Take from that what you will.

From the reviews i've read it seems like the servers are actually good but most of their support people speak french so i think thats why people dont like the support. so parle francais?

Uh-oh, they'll probably surrender all of your personal info at first C&D..

The only thing I don't like is the VMWare virtualization.
Though I am going to buy the KS1 to give a try.
It seems they are not so bad from solid data I can read:

All the plans:

OVH

All the benchmarks:

OVH

There's a coupon:

OVH

OVH is a top provider, one of the biggest in Europe.
They're selling desktop-end hardware which you can use as servers. They're a very big company and they've been in business for years.

About the support, expect response times of 20 - 30 minutes. They won't intervene unless there's a critical hardware error. If you want to use these servers for your websites, you can hire a 3rd party server manager and you'll be fine.

There are a lot of companies like OVH, providing cheap hardware. For example:

Dedicated Servers, vSERVERs – SERVER4YOU
Hetzner Online AG

OVH has opened a new DataCenter in Canada which will improve your response time, for those living in America.

Yes OP, skimp on your only fixed expense as an internet marketer. Good things will come.

yeah, because price always equals quality and if it's not expensive, it's not good.

i've a server at OVH, it's a great spec and the network is great. i've no idea how they keep it so cheap. are they subsidised by the french taxpayer? that's the only explanation i could think of.

i can't comment on support as i run the server myself, all i needed was the root when it was setup. i don't think they even sell managed servers

FDC Servers has some great Deals as well. Here are pictures from their colo

And I think with that you realize why you should not just go with the cheapest hosting provider.

OVH has the biggest datacenter in North America so dunno what you guys are talking about.

OVH has decent servers, but don't expect non-hardware related support if you need it.
