Is this shaving?

The affiliate network whose products I'm promoting is "failing" a lot of the orders that come from my link.

Traffic is 100% organic, SEO, so there's no question as to it's quality. Yet out of 6 orders per day, I would get only 2 or 3 approved and the rest would be failed.

I asked my AM about this and he said that this happens because of CC rejection either because of insufficient funds, fake details or cancelling. It sounds like hokey to me because said product isn't an impulse buy as customers are recurring and purchasing in quantities well over $100 (no rebill or anything, just evergreen niche).

I have no way to confirm this but from what I've described, does this sound like shaving to you?

Run the traffic to another offer and compare...

I've tried it with another vendor and while he paid less than the current one (revshare vs CPA), I had more orders per total, but that was in part because they had better prices and a larger variety of items. Didn't work out as they were late on payments.

And yes, there are only 2 vendors in this niche. Can't do much actually, except set up a competing offer, but that's whole different thread.
