I think a lot of people that are considered racist, and maybe even consider themselves racist, aren't really racist at all. They're just repulsed by certain cultural tendencies. To test it, ask yourself if you would mind Dr. Ben Carson or Colin Powell or Bill Cosby, etc living next to you. I would bet very few people would have a problem with that, and most people would actually jump at the opportunity.

So for most people it really has nothing to do with race, but rather culture - and what's generally perceived to be a very negative, destructive culture at that.

For some reason most poeple have trouble distinguishing between race, which people have no control over, and culture, which people do have some control over. You can't hold it against a person for having a certain shade of skin, but I don't think it's unreasonable to hold people accountable if their culture has destructive tendencies and they behave in an uncivilized manner as a result.

Actually it's third (After Jews and may be after Asians). South Asians' average income is above whites average income in the US.

Totally agree. This is sort of the reason why I'm hoping that more and more folks in the black community will start embracing, or at least accept, the concept of 'Black Diversity' more and more. Then maybe, just maybe, you'll get more of the 'Bill Cosbys' speaking up against all that 'gangbanger 50 cent 'in yo face' violent attitude & values like they did used to back in the 70's (until it was all broadsided by all that gangbanger/rapper/violent nonsense that pervaded the media). You'll have more and more blacks who feel it's ok NOT to associate themselves with all that violent cultural crap. That it doesnt make you any less "black" if you don't wanna be associated with that culture.

The 'Black unity' bit only worked back in the 60's for political reasons. Today it's a hindrance. (Well, that's what my black friends I met back in college tell me at least. Times have changed, and I tend to agree) .

Chinese women are the only people I have dealt with where I don't know the outcome before hand. It doesn't matter if they are buying or selling. They will get the better end of the deal.

That's what we need to give each other. Even if we have different races and different colors, we can act as one and be united. Racism should be diminished for it would not bring any good. Just respect and love each other as much as we can do. We live in one world anyways.
