MtGox to unleash BTC floodgates at 7pm Pacific

THIS.

Never ever place a MARKET order. Only place LIMIT orders.

never traded in bitcoins but am 99% sure most reddit retards who put all their earnings (read parents) in bitcoins have just bought it at market price.

in b4 1000 threads of government did this at r/bitcoins/

P.S: it seems mtgox.com is down lol. Someone raped their shared godaddy servers?

MtGox showing extreme server resources scarcity.. I guess it's more valuable than I had prevously thought

/lighten up humor, but seriously, MtGox sucks

Meanwhile at mtGox Server Room:

When I look to free my self of the chains of the US government, I want a currency that is :

- Backed by nothing
- Exchanges are easily DDoSed
- Wallets are easy to steal
- Support of the sterling Reddit Community
- Easily manipulated

I think I found all that I need with Buttcoins. Praise Buttcoins and the Ron Paul 2060.

It is rather obvious what the downside is to having 80% of the trading taking place through one flaky house. But compare with government money: 100% throughout one politically controlled house.
"Audit the Mt. Gox!"

Seriously, I'm rooting for either BTC or someone else to learn from this downfall. After all, to a certain degree it is operating in a free-market type of environment.

This is what I said earlier today to Mattseh

[6:43:56 PM] Anand: bitcoin is interesting
[6:44:06 PM] Anand: and may help adoption of a sound currency into the digital realm more effectively
[6:44:20 PM] Anand: I think bitcoin that clears into gold or silver would be pretty amazing
[6:44:24 PM] Anand: still thousands of kinks to work out
[6:44:28 PM] Anand: but huge potential for that
[6:44:40 PM] Anand: but BTC that clears into nothing, will have a very hard time getting real adoption
[6:44:54 PM] Anand: People have become so used to fiat, paper money
[6:44:59 PM] Anand: and fiat digital currency
[6:45:02 PM] Anand: that they forget what money is

I don't hate Bitcoin, but it's not an anti-government panacea. People who are falling for that are being taken advantage of. This "movement" so-to-speak has no chance of developing serious lasting change if people fall for everything that comes down the pipe, regardless of its merits.
