I've been working with a computer vision library at work and everyone I show the stuff to says "where's the porn?" so I was thinking of doing a softcore app.

This is the main mechanic:
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J1N9kGtmJwU"]Clip from work - YouTube[/ame] fucking embed goddamnit

And I was going to make cards that spawn naked girls you can spin around and look at from all angles and trigger various animations. If you put the girls out on 2 teams another card could spawn a volleyball net and you could watch them play volleyball and make girl sounds...

Then I was going to make another version for women with hunky nude firemen with fireman trading cards for bachelorette parties and shit.

The main problem is getting life-like nude women 3d models. I found a bunch on stock sites for $60-$800 each but would need more to do custom models/animations. So I'm thinking buy stock models to get a first version of the app out, then put money into making AAA quality models...or try a kickstarter...

When I get paid I'm going to buy some of these:

What do you guys think? I think it's pretty solid...

OP, you survived brain surgery and now you're making dragon's in 3d on card games and designing naked woman for a library, awesome.

It'll be 4 weeks ago tomorrow I had brain surgery and I'm more alive than I've been in the past 5 years. But I have bills to pay...so was hoping this would be profitable. I went to work full time 9 days after brain surgery lol. Crazy shit.

Thanks guys. It was yesterday I decided to do it after I was showing my in-laws the magic cards and they said where's the porn. I was like that's it, I'm doing it and they thought it was a good idea if it wasn't hardcore.

I'm thinking of getting a prototype up and working then do a kickstarter to get AAA quality models, audio and sound fx, animations.. Probably make the app free with 1-2 models that have bikini's and you can unlock nude models with in app purchases for a buck or two each.

The models can interact since it's within a game engine, so I could make little mini games where they play volleyball or something heh I also have to buy a license for the game engine which I can get for a 50% discount since I'm still a student, for $2250 instead of $4500. But other than that I just need models.

That's radical, don't sweat it. You obviously have talent; the money will come.

Beautiful idea, but don't you think people buying these things might want them to actually fuck?

I simply can't imagine watching them play volleyball with their jiggly bits glistening and then not want to throw some cock in there to shag them silly...

That's just simply not fulfilling your customer's needs.

Do you guys think it's better to do a demo with the nicest model possible or several decent ones as a proof of concept?

Basically should I buy 1 life-like hot model for $1,000 or 3 different decent ones at $300+ each?

I could imagine kids in class setting a dude jerking off on their teacher's forehead. Genius.

btw pm me if you need a model for that

this tech will be sick with Google Glass
Yeah I already contacted the occulus rift guys to see if they could add a webcam to it lol and they said you'd have to have 2 webcams which would just kill performance...

I'm torn between which models to buy, this artist has 3 decent models rigged with vaginal parts for $600-$800 each: (I could make a few skins blending other girl's faces on the same model to make different versions...)

This one would be around $1k:

This one has a few different hair styles but isn't rigged or animated:

Was thinking about giving the black guy a tiny dick too just for laughs... :cool-smiley-008:

Can't put it on Play, iTunes, or Amazon.

Where are you going to distribute?

Also, seriously, $1000? For a stock model?

Fuck that noise. You can hire a pro, get a cost rig AND model for less than that, then have the additional models done later on top of the same rig. Slap on the animations with animoto (buy the library once, will 'just work' since you used the same rig), and you are golden - well, apart from the distro problem.

Well shit I won't be able to do ios then. Android will be harder to market not in play or amazon but at least I can distribute it, unlike ios. That's lame. iOS is such a pain in my ass with their provisional profiles, certificates, etc. it's so frustrating. With ad hoc distribution you have to have all the device identifiers up front with apple.

And honestly I'd fucking love to find cheap ways to rig/animate a model. At work I've been using Mixamo to auto rig/animate models, but it's not cheap($90 to rig + anims). At the same time it was cheaper than having someone manually rig it and it was done in a couple minutes.

I was eyeing iClone for animations using my kinect sensor but it's $200 + $140 for the kinect plugin.

I'll check out animoto. Usually when I just drop a rig onto a mesh it doesn't work, but I'm not a pro modeler.

If I can rig models easily there were some good, textured meshes for $40+ and I could do a couple dozen.

Also for marketing I was planning on including some free models and in app purchase for additional ones, so I could put it up on torrents and hope it gets pirated and enough people want to unlock more content at some point. For $.99 or something cheap.

If you are going the mixamo route you can buy the entire library for ~ 700 or so via the Unity asset store. I'm not against the idea, I just foresee a significant expense that will be hard to recoop given the barrier to customer acquisition.

I downloaded Daz3d and found it really easy to apply animations and they sell models for cheap. I bought 1 stock model not from daz for $99 that has a couple dozen animations.

I got a contact at MiKandi dot com which is an adult app site telling me to email him if I have any questions about listing apps there.

I threw the model I got in a little app to demonstrate but had to hold things at a shitty angle holding the target, tablet, and trying to stay in camera focus:

I need to get some better shaders and stuff to make them look better. Should also just lay the target on a table and shoot it so it's not shaking.
