The other day I installed Kaspersky Internet Security. The software seems to be pretty good, it got rid of the shit that was messing up my computer.

Anyway, I was checking on a few sites, and noticed that the adsense ads and various other banners from COPEAC and CJ were gone. What the hell? I turned off KIS and they were back. The software seems to block those ads.

KIS seems to be gaining popularity, so this could be a problem. I wonder if there is a way around this? It even stops Clickbank's checkout page from even displaying.

Honestly, I wouldn't worry about it. This kind of software has been around forever. There's even an extension on firefox which blocks ads. However, very very very very very very few people use these kind of ad blockers, so don't lose any sleep over it. :)

I think most of the people who use the ad blockers probably ignore your ads already, and they wouldn't be clicking on them.

I agree with this somewhat, except if some cheap/free virus software comes out, people will buy it and not even know/ care about this feature and just leave it on. Those are the stupid people who would click on your ads.

Yeah, people don't consciously decide to ignore or not ignore ads for the most part the same way they won't consciously decide to turn adblocking software on or off, they just leave it on when it comes set to on in their software. The biggest threat in the area comes from mass-market products like the Norton Security Suite or whatever it's called and browsers (though Maxthon is the only one I can think of at the moment that pre-installs a bunch of adblocking stuff, maybe there are others).

I also wouldn't worry to much about it. It's been around for a while like some people have already said. Personally if there is a firefox entension that blocks Adsense ads then I would think Google will stop this from happening as it's only affecting their main source of income which is through ads.
