yeah, wayn3, you're so stupid for not conforming.
I did that before it was cool.
anyway here's some shit i've always wanted to know about, though i understand the basic ideas behind some of these things, i've never bothered to look them up in detail:
quite arrogant, eh.
what do you think of the concept of higher education?
i think that those people who have made it past their teens and are still pretending to not know basic mathematical facts, like the important results of probability theory for example, being cool, are a piss poor excuse for a human being.
the concept of selling higher education to millions of hipster bitches has made a couple guys lots of rich, so i guess its working out for them.
the concept of picking up higher education? that depends on you. do you want to be stupid or not? im not making that call.
i dont like the way idiots admire him. what he did isnt magic. its just economically not feasible to give "free energy" to everyone.
who do you think was the smartest person to ever walk this earth?
that would obviously be me.
smart isnt even well defined. do you mean intelligent? knowledgeable? famous for science stuff?
being famous due to science isnt about being good at science. its about graduating from the correct program at the correct time, moving your name on the correct paper.
how fast do you die when you take your space suit off in space?
thats an almost interesting one. youd obviously suffocate but that takes a while.
most people think youd be freezing, but thats not correct. you freeze when you exchange temperature with a colder environment. space doesnt contain lots of particles, so while they might be really cold, they dont cool you down all that much. at least not until youve died of something else.
blood pressure might become a problem, but that would hardly kill you. at least not before the upper bound the suffocation is setting.
how long it takes to actually die from suffocation is your job to google.
are black holes actual holes? where do things go when they enter one of those?
black holes are spacetime singularities. thats all there is to it. what a singularity si cant be explained to someone who knows too little about regular spaces.
a really shitty analogy for what a black hole is can be achieved this way: take a sheet of paper and fold it. then fold it again. at some point you wont be able to fold it anymore. if you now continued folding infinitely more times, youd get a black hole. (yes, really.) its just matter compressed beyond all normal physical limitations. it then seizes to be matter and becomes something we dont know shit about.
things go towards the center but thats not the fancy answer your looking for.
one of the less exotic explanations discussed at the moment would be that a black hole would be the edge of a universe. if that was correct, a black hole would contain a universe and the energy dropping into the hole being responsible for the expansion. but thats cutting edge research/merely proposed bullshit and totally not set in stone. just an idea competing with many different ideas.
how is it that we get to talk to people on the other side of the planet instantaneously via mobile phones?
if by instantaneously you mean "really fast", thats because your voice is translated into electromagnetic waves and those are shot around the globe at the speed of light.
why dont airplanes just suddenly start falling out of the sky? what keeps them in the air?
hydrodynamics suggest that by making the air above the wing less dense than the air below it, you create an upwards force.
inb4 someone tries to disprove me with googled bullshit.
ass or tits?
can human life be sustained permanently out in space without flying back and forth to earth?
what differentiates our planet from a really sophisticated spaceship?
how hard is it to skateboard in san francisco?
quite unpleasant with all the hipsters telling you that they did that before it was cool.
