:love-smiley-005:Ive been trying to crack POF for a few years now on and off. It seems like to me that i spend more on VPS, tracking (POF pro) and traffic and little to no ROI. Seeing how Facebook bans account and no longer allow dating, should i stick to POF and make it work.

Also, are people in here banking on POF? Ive been on paid forums and it looks like every newbie that joins is instructed to start with POF.

Looking forward to hear from you guys..

I don't know... but that parties are great!

I could easily get a campaign profiting, but could never get it to last for more than a few days. I always figured it was because everyone on there just copies each other, but maybe I just suck.

it's also a banner blindness, not competition
chances somebody copies you with targeting they allow to be so specific - I highly doubt

The most i made was $ xx.xx dollars and that still kept me in the negative with 40+ campaign and only one or two being profitable. Im pretty sure there are people banking probably with high payout offers to increase their margin. Time to find another traffic source!!

inb4 benpof comes in here to tell everyone how much affs are killing it on pof

you mean when my buddy was drunk as fuck at 11pm browsing POF online for a chick to hook for the night for free for the 105th time - he's not interested in other dating ads/whatever shit is promoted?

Ads take forever to get approved and they are subject to the sporadic and inconsistant whims of their approval team.

Never been able to get non dating offers to convert there and the margins on non hookup dating are too fucking slim

Ben pretends to be one of us, blows smoke up our asses and doesn't address actual concerns, questions, etc.

also .16 CPM min is too high for their garbage traffic

I miss the days of their .10 CPM traffic. that gap to .16c was my margins.

Ben - bring back the .10 CPM!

Our minimums are a direct reflection of what Google deems our traffic is worth, sorry bros, can't do anything about that!

A few things to address your concerns:
- small ads are less prone to banner burnout than banners (there's 3 per page). These guys can go months without needing to get swapped out. Banners get higher CTR's than small ads but burn out faster. If you're a set it and forget it type, then do small ads.

- Initial performance isn't an indication of future performance. Meaning your 10 clicks in 5000 impressions isn't going to hold up over 50,000 impressions. This is not burnout. Dating traffic is going to be more volatile than social because there's certain days where people are more prone to look for a date/go on dates. Same goes w/ certain times of the year! Right now is primo dating time up until end of March. We have new years resolution people, followed by people who had a shitty Valentines Day.

- Volume is there, dude spent a milly in a year: 2 Million Dollar Club! | Ads.pof.com Blog

- We cleaned up our site last year so we have less affiliates now vs. back then. Also, you don't need to use super aggressive ads to profit anymore. It's much less competitive now and the traffic caters more to marketers.. meaning you can't just throw up a picture of deep cleavage and bank anymore. Those days are over

- Landing pages are a must in my opinion, only time to direct link is to see what benchmark you need to beat with your lander. We also now allow exit/under pops on the lander.

OP if you're getting back into it, get started on some low volume, low competition, high ROI placements to get your feet wet. I recommend diving into our non-English countries and/or Australia. Try your best to identify good information from bad information. The guys doing well on POF, aren't posting about it.. or if they do say something it's to claim POF is dead, move on ;)

Perhaps reach out to Ben. He seems to be under this belief that there is LOADS and LOADS of monies to be made with their traffic for affiliates. Perhaps they have figured out something that most of the rest of affiliates who have tried POF traffic and failed or not got a decent ROI have not.
