Draws with his fingers ONLY on ipad/iphone. (Zooming in and shit)

Last year I was gifted an iPad. Here's a collection of digital paintings I've done on it since then. : pics

When I'm bored I draw on my phone. Here is a collection of my iPhone paintings. : pics

Collection of my artwork done only by phone. : pics

First Reddit post, What do you think of my art? : pics

People love his art. I'm sure he can put his skill to good use.

Current ideas are:
- Childern's book
- iPhone/iPad game

Let's see what our fellow gay webmasters could come up with.

unlike 9/10 people who come talk about their skilled artsy friends - your friend is definitely skilled and artsy. this is sick.

You bro really has amazing talent, he can make tons of money with app illustrations and games.

By "good use" you mean he's looking for a way to make money with it?

Setup a tutorial site and watermark all future images with the site's url. He could throw up a course on a site like Udemy first to judge interest, but I'm sure there would be plenty of interest and Udemy would steal the branding his watermarked pictures could be building. Any time his pictures make it to the front of reddit that would be a ton of new users via the watermark.

By good use I meant something bigger than just a way to make money you know... Like an actual brand with value that you could sell as an asset for 50+ million.

Something bigger than money, like something that would sell for 50+ million.

Right, that makes sense...

Well then you said it yourself. Build a brand. As others noted, the best place for him to do so is with mobile apps. The game market for mobile is dominated by design. The games mechanics are all very similar, the difference between one that sticks and one that doesn't really is in the design. Flappy birds was not the first side scrolling game where you clicked to keep your character in the air while dodging incoming objects. In fact it wasn't even the thousandth. It was the design that made it catchy and ultimately viral. Same with Angry Birds and practically any other of the top viral games. They took the same basic game mechanics that came before them and used their design abilities to give it a fresh new look and appeal.

He could do an ask reddit thread for someone to partner with him on mobile app games and be up and starting his first app by tomorrow.

Go talk to Kanye.

Or any other idiot who thinks he's an artist with no actual talent but a lot of money. He'd love to pay your friend a lot of money to be the background factory for some newfound Kanye talent.

Also - don't those Pixar-type companies have giant bidding wars and insane contracts for their graphics artists? You should ask your friend if he'd like something like that - most artists aren't super big on "making 50 mil off their talent" and won't push for it when presented for an opportunity to do something creative rather than something that'll make a bunch of money.

Do you even care about the meaning of the words you say, or do you just vomit them out for fun?

He's gotten quite a few job offers from reddit already, but he doesn't want to just work for someone. I'm pushing him to test ideas with very high best case income ceilings.

For example. Make a childeren's book. If successful, turn it into a series. If successful, make your own childern's book distribution platform to support it instead of using kindle or what not. Obviously the market would guide the direction.

I'm not saying his talent is worth 50 million. But I'm sure he could use his talent to test ideas that could be built into something big with the right execution.

Very true, thanks.
