Does anyone know of anything thats similiar to trellos board based project management but that has more features?

Things i'm looking for is the ability to force someone to fill out certain form fields and to be able to completely customize the card template based on the project type. Things like being able to add drop downs to the ticket would be helpful.

Ive searched kanban solutions but have found nothing that allows you to completely customize the card.

I'm responding to "Trello alternative", without recognizing the specifics that you are looking for. Check out Asana. I've used both, and prefer the latter.

im really looking for something board based where we can drag the cards column to column. Trello just lacks a lot of features.

JIRA needs to crawl back into the shithole it came from.

Commenting and task assignment also suck in Trello.

TeamworkPM doesnt have drag and drop but it has everything Trello is missing IMO.

Trello's search only finds matches in Card Title and Description. If what you are looking for is in comments or checklist it will not show. This further aggravates the non existent tagging systems.

Used Trello for the first time last week for a Link Removal project (15 people working on different batches of links) and it was a breeze.

No fucking around: To Do, Doing, Done.

Was a bit of a chore downloading files though now I remember, but they all have their quirks, with Basecamp, Asana and Wrike having more on the surface imho.

I use Trello, and for the most part, it is great. Like any other CRM, it isn't one size fits all. I've been using spreadsheets to manage more voluminous projects like link building, link removal/outreach or even orders for Loganix. Using Trello and Google docs is great! Also, my agency clients LOVE it. They like to ability to easily collaborate with us, be a voyeur of our work flow, and you can't beat the transparency/accountability that is absolutely imposes.

I've played around with Batchbook, Asante, 37signal products and surely some things I no longer remember, and for our purposes, Trello is by far the best choice.

I did come across something interesting recently that we experimenting for use with support/sales, but can also see that it might be helpful for simple CRM. Check out Streak - CRM in your Inbox. It is a Gmail App, and if you are using Gmail/Google Apps for much of the work you do it might be a great fit.
