I so look forward to this show each September... sad that it's the last season, but all good things must come to an end and this looks like it's going to be good!

Enjoyed it at beginning until one of the major characters got killed(who I enjoyed the most) so I stopped watching it. Maybe I should give it another try.

Yeah man, you should. It's a show about the mob, so people are going to die. It's been part of the writing style from the beginning. Even the actors don't know they are meant to die until they show up on the day to film those scenes. That's life. You could be here today, gone tomorrow.

They've killed off so many great characters on the show, you might be in for a bit of a shock. I can think of a half dozen off the top of my head that I was disappointed to see go (last season was especially brutal), but they seem to fill their shoes with new and equally as interesting, if not completely outrageous personas.
 
This series started out great but the addition of too many characters (starting with season 3) stretched the show thin and made Nucky feel like yet another side story instead of the leading character . In hindsight, I think the show should've focused on Capone as the lead, even though he's been done to death in film and TV.

I don't really care what happens to Nucky at this point nor his motivations. That's not to say Buscemi is a bad actor just that I don't think Nucky was the right choice. In trying to do too much, they ended up with too little and show is cancelled as a result.
 
Love the show, have been watching it from the start, albeit delayed. Just up to the point where he shot Jimmy in the rain. Never saw that one coming. 5 seasons is about right, hate it when they drag these things on, they just lose the magic.

Enjoying True Detective right now but that's for another thread...
 
Watching it on Netflix so I think I'm a season behind but it's getting rather boring tbqh. Agree with Capone being a much more interesting character (and actor) than Nucky/Buscemi.
