So over the past few weeks I've dabbled in zip submit offers through NeverBlueAds. I've never really messed with them, but decided to give them a go and threw up a few PPC ads.
Well, after a few days and zero conversions I stopped. I didn't think too much about it. Until I started receiving PM's on a forum I advertised on...
I had made a post about my site on a forum that related to the offer. Well, a few people ended up participating on the voting page I had setup and submitted their zip codes in the offer. After not actually receiving their "free $250 gift card" on the next page they got upset and sent me PM's about it. Here is one of them:
"hey man, i voted in your poll and it just wanted more information after i put in my zip code. stop posting this spam crap."
Then the admin of that forum sent me a PM asking me to refrain from posting threads like that again in the future, stating "a number of members thought they were going to receive a gift card and didn't."
Anyway, it's apparent that quite a few people submitted their zip codes after voting and that's just from the forum. I have no idea how many people might have submitted their zips from the PPC campaign.
The kicker? The NeverBlueAds stats doesn't show a single conversion for that offer. Not one. I've heard that a lot of zip submit campaigns are shady, so how do you go about weeding out the bad ones from the legit ones? I sent an e-mail a few days ago to my AM, but haven't received a reply yet.
