I used to lose like all of my chargebacks and most of my claims and that shit would eat in to profits like a mother fucker.

For the past 2-3 months though, PayPal have been paying for like every single chargeback/claim that is lost...

They will give reasons like
"Due to the unique circumstances of the case, PayPal will refund your buyer at no cost to you. Your account will not be debited."

or

"PayPal has determined the buyer should receive a refund. Due to the unique
circumstances of the claim, and your PayPal account history, we will refund
the buyer on your behalf. Your account will not be debited."

Anyone else seeing this shit happen?

They paid using their paypal balance I reckon. i.e. Visa/MC were not involved in the transaction, or paypal refunded the buyer before they did a chargeback.

Yeah. It is just a case to case basis. Maybe this maybe that.

Do they give privilege, related to chargebacks, with longer history or trustworthy accounts? Can't seem to find it on their site.:stonedsmilie:

I don't know what's going on with it. I've never had a chargeback or anything like that until about a month or two ago when this dude hit me with one on some content I'd sent him for some reason. He ended up just canceling it or something, and my account was back to normal like two days later?

yeah idk, i get like maybe 1000 chargbebacks/claims per months and would lose about 30% of them, and now PayPal covering the costs of almost all of those lost out of the blue

Maybe they are pitying you for all the losses you have accumulated and decided to give some back to you. Had no problems before with chargebacks too, same with potentialeight.

Good for you.

paypal gives me a lot of shit for it and holds a percentage of incoming $ for 120 days, but it is only like 2.5% of transactions that are disputed as it is with any other paypal acc

Why are so many people doing charge backs on you? Are there a lot of Indians buying your products, or maybe you're selling something to IMers?

I'mers can actually be surprisingly nice about charge backs. - If you're not a jack ass making sketchy claims or trying to keep peoples money when you're not delivering them value its easy to keep a sub 1% charge back rate.

Dumb enough to steal their parents credit cards and buy stuff on the internet. :arcadefreak:

What are you selling and what do you say when you are filed with a chargeback?

Since he's not using Paypal Website Payments Pro, they're not stealing their parents credit card. They're using their own Paypal accounts.

Oh I see that you're a red blocked idiot. I shouldn't have even bothered to respond.
