im starting a campaign and i have about 10,000 keywords that i am testing and trying to find the ones that are converting. I am also tracking them on my site. I am using YSM and i was wondering how long should i let the testing part run for, and how much is enough to spend in order to properly test them. I am doing ringtones. I was thinking of doing $250 a day for 3 days, and bidding around .90 cents to get me on the first two pages. Does this sound good to do?

to test a campaign on wether it coverts well or not ...i usually run it for about 300-500 clicks..and see how many sales come out of that

Depends on what you are promoting. Not everything converts the same. A zip submit might convert 30% while some clickbank ebook may convert at 2%. I do not promote either but it's a generic example.

I have like 200 some odd keywords I use... Should I be using more? lol
Ive only been using AW for like 3 weeks now...
I have 1 site, 1 product, and its a tangible product, real life business...

So I dunno if I could come up with 1000+ KW's but who knows...!

stop when cost of clicks = 1 commission.
when that reaches, offline your campaign and check
out why it went wrong.

never ever think "bet this next click will result in leads/sales!"
that kind of thinking could break your $$$.

sort of gambling.

I usually do 25%-50% over the commission. So if its a $10 commission I spend $12.5 - $15 dollars on a single keyword with no conversions before cutting it.

I think that might be a bit much to spend right off the bat, you don't have any posts here besides this, so I don't know how much you know about PPC marketing.

I do think that's a good method from raising your bids at first and see which keywords are converting.

Although you have some important things to consider. You have 10K keywords but are they divided up into small adgroups? What about your ads, are they relevant to your keywords? Google's Adword editor has a keyword grouper to help with this. This is going to make a huge difference, before you spend that much you need to make sure if everything else is correct. You could start out with a smaller budget until you see what your CTR% and Quality Index is at.

Also I don't think you're going to be able to know what's working or not in 3 days. There are so many more variables, what I mentioned above about your ads, CTR%, but also your landing page and testing/tweaking every minor detail until you can find out what's working. Ringtones is also a very competitive niche. Unless you have the extra money to spend then I'd say spend whatever you want.
