That whole thing your teacher said when you were in like 2nd grade about there not being dumb questions... Yeah that was all bullshit. There are a lot of dumb questions. For instance, had you gone on Google and typed in "Alternative to adsense" this link shows up first: Good List of Adsense Alternatives | Threadwatch.org which seems to have a pretty good list.

Your question should be, is there a good alternative to google adsense. The answer is maybe YPN/Adbright/Bidvertiser.

If it's a general entertainment site, I've had pretty decent results with AdEngage Photo Ads... if you don't mind run of the network (RON) generic ads on your site until people start purchasing ads (although, you can turn this option off if you want). But, all in all, I've found the photos increase CTR and they do pay per click.
