Hi there ,

Could anyone Recommend a CPA network with instant activation that I dont have to spend days waiting for my account to be activated. And without having to send a million forms. That allows international members aswell.

As long as you call, you'll usually get approved within a few hours or so. Tell them you do volume, and it'll take 10-15 minutes.

Usually something sketchy is going on if you can't wait a few measly days or fill out a proper tax form to join...

i agree. Affiliates who want approval right away or daily or weekly payments right away without being someone known in the industry is a red flag for fraud.

Anyone who gets this guy should watch him, there is a lot of fraud going around in networks right now, mainly on zip and email offers but on credit card based offers as well.

If any networks want to collaborate and build a site of cheater and fraud affiliates so we can share information about those who want to defraud networks and advertisers feel free to get in touch with me, i have been thinking of putting a site together for networks so we can out all the fraud affiliates and weed them out of our space.

I have a list of about 10 people so far that we have caught, not to mention the fraud rings based in China that proliferate in every network.

 Must do research on the China fraud ring and run one myself.

I would also recommend that you watch people that want to get approved ASAP and also want quick payouts. There are many people that want to find programs that when you get a lead they want the payout the next day. That just shouts out fraud straight away.

Fraud is so annoying as it can damage something much quicker than what it took to put it all together and the bad thing about it is that the people that fraud don't even care what they are doing to the industry.

Mike,

Great idea, we've been talking about the same thing here at MediaTrust and are already working with a few other networks to combat Fraud. We're tired of playing "whack a mole" with shady aff's that just move around from place to place.

I don't think this is necessarily the case. Often the only value proposition some networks can offer is weekly payouts, which can certainly be good for cashflow. Otherwise the affilates may as well go to the direct bigger networks.

I know, in some cases, I will accept lower payout from a 2nd tier network for the faster payout and risk mitigation. And that's with zero shady business.

I concur with mkrongel idea. It's better to build a site who list fraud aff like that so they can not go anywhere. I think smaller network will also benefit because they have tougher job to keep their advertiser happy, thus combating fraud aff will help them.

In addition to this issue, I would love to hear if we can also list affiliate networks who do shady practice. So it will be fair on both sides.

For example, check out AskDamageX's Public Shitlist (not mainstream biz, tho)
"Whom you shouldn't do business with. Sponsors, service providers, product sellers, scamming webmasters, post them here. However, remember to PROVIDE PROOF! Posting someone in here without grounds is a BANNABLE offense!"

Great list/forum there demon. The problem with these list is who polices it and who deciedes whether a pub or aff are shady ?

Look at all the affiliates that talk shit about networks, be difficult to filter that noise.

They "talk shit" because they are screwed up. At least the policy said they gotta post proof, else banned. Or are you saying those are just bullshit?

Indeed, proof would be nice from networks and affiliates. However, look at the CJ and clickbooth issues that have come up in the past. Its generally be peoples word rather than proof.

You know what I'd love? If you guys would get together and standardize a number of things across the industry. This cheater idea would be great for you, I agree, but for those of us who work with publishers having to navigate the vast range of categorizations, querystring structures and report structures is really a giant pain. Just for example, when I design an accounting system to true up transactional data (click/offer/user mainly) on the publisher end with transactional data (click/offer/money mainly) on the affiliate network end, it always requires doing about ten times the work to deal with all the various structures of everything. Categorization is another pain (I have a spreadsheet of taxonomies from 4 major networks that I tried to reconcile and it's crazy), though more manageable I suppose; however, it'd be nice if we could simply rely on aff nets to transmit a reliable industry-standard broad category along with an offer through some kind of API. Heck, it'd be nice if we could just get updates on offers and data through some kind of API. Sucks having to check your mail, mark something inactive, redirect existing content, etc, when it could easily be automated.

I know I'm off topic there and I don't mean it negatively, it's just one of those things that I think about after years of seeing the stagnation of publisher tools.
