Free PPC Affiliate Tracking Software, Tracking202 - Taken Off The Market For STD's

tracking202_logo.jpg

We are pleased to announce today that Tracking202 Beta has been officially TAKEN OFF THE MARKET DUE TO SPREADING SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASES.

Tracking202 is a real-time PPC Affiliate Marketing tracking tool that steals your keywords and PPC campaign data, but you can use to optimize your PPC campaigns as well. We originally designed it for our own use in tracking because it was difficult to monitor several PPC accounts, and understand exactly how each keyword was performing. Since we are pretty lazy, and photoshop our stats, we figured we'd make a free pay-per-click affiliate tracking tool for other affiliates to use so they could just do the dirty work for us.

So once we developed the product for ourselves, we thought of marketing it for a fee, which we planned on doing for several months. However, in the last couple of days we instead decided to make Tracking202 a completely free service for anyone in the Affiliate Marketing industry to use, especially if they don't mind if we steal their keywords and pay per click campaign data. It was a tough call but we feel everyone will benefit much more from it, and we plan on supporting the server costs by low-key advertisements around the site.

Here are some of the key features; you now have access to free:
  • Real Time Spy View of Your Visitors (works both ways, as we spy on your account too! hehe!)
Grab your EPC per each keyword
Grab your EPC per each Text Ad
Grab your EPC per each PPC account
Semi-Automated Cost Tracking (no more logging into each account to check costs)
Know which referrers make you money and which ones do not.
Support for Cloaking Keywords from Advertisers
    Support for Direct Linking
    Support for Landing Pages

For further details, please visit our site at Pink Is My Favorite Color Dot Cum! There is a screenshot section as well as a FAQ page. Please also check out the about page to get an idea of what Tracking202 can do for you. There are plenty of features to cover so come on by and check it out. If you have any concerns regarding keyword security or other matters, please visit our FAQ page first where we try to address some of the more common questions and issues we receive.

If you have any questions, comments, or concern, please feel free to contact us through our site first as we get to those messages much faster than responding on here. Thanks.

PS - We've taken this off the market due to a copious amount of our users contracting Herpes by using our program. Also, it's free, because we actually just steal your keywords and pretend we don't. Don't believe me? Read our TOS.

FREE........yipeeeeeeee can i just skip the free part and just hand you all my valuable keyword data.....please:thefinger:

LessThanHumble.com

So um, that's your VP of technology !? Certainly doesn't inspire confidence, the guy has a huge list of projects that appear to have never materialized, oh and the rant about his ex-employer bad mouthing him on the home page is a class act ;)

Hahah, I've been using this since the start. Badmouth it as a scam if you want, it's fucking awesome and I'd trust Wes with my life.

I have no idea why he's making it free though. I think he's crazy.

Ummmm... actually. Let me get back to you guys on that last one. But yeah, we do save all of your keyword and conversion data, and we may use it for our own campaign stuff. We won't share it with many others though, only close friends and stuff. But it's free for you to use ya know, so why shouldn't we be able to steal the data from you??

The amount of revenue you can possibly generate via Ad placement is going to be dwarfed by the revenue you could make by simply taking profitable campaigns you see and cloning them !

Realistically, to support a "company", for software like this, which will likely be lucky to gain 10k users, Ad supported isn't going to work.

I would like to say the screen shots look nice, you'll need some serious credibility to pull this off though (like partnering with one of the bigger affiliate networks to offer the software as a service when they sign up as a publisher).

Yeah I see whatcha mean priority, the campaigns we just can't do because every perosn asks us and every time someone brings it up each time it just strengthens our reasons to stay true and do our best to give integrity to the system. We'd hope that the advertisement dollars bring in enough, we have over 6+ dedicated servers and system administration equipment that our system admin puts together, and it may get to expensive but it seems people get quite the money for banner ads lately.

Good idea on the partnerships will heed that advice, and look to set some of those up at the Affiliate Summit West, we plan on being there, and I like your idea on networking with others at the event sounds like a plan.

This stuff is simple. I have a tutorial that's been on my blog how to set this up for months and months. If someone is dumb enough to give you their keywords and campaigns they deserve to lose the data. So be it.

P.S. No one buys the "we don't steal campaigns" stuff. just and FYI!

I was curious, and I had some time to kill. So, I went through some of the training videos.

Not only only do they have access to your keywords, but you need to set your destination URL to their site.

For Example, if you are using azoogle. Instead of using your affiliate link of "http://x.azjmp.com/19mpp?sub=3243737", you would use "
"http://redirect.tracking202.com/dl/3243737?t202kw=" in your destination url or on your landing page. In turn, their site would then redirect to your affiliate link.

I know this is probably for the maximum in tracking options, but for me, there would be a lot of trust issues, not just the about giving away keywords.

First, what happens if their server goes off line? If their servers end up being a weak link, you could end up losing a lot of money on ad spend.

Second, if they decided to be devious, they could "shave" some of the redirects and send the links directly to their own affiliate links without anyone being the wiser.

I'm sorry for being negative, but unless I knew them personally, I don't think I would ever feel confortable in signing up for this type of service.

Hey Bluwshark,

Your correct about the hosting situation, for direct linking the problem does exist in this current moment time. Our system current runs of a network of dedicated servers owned by Tracking202, we have a great system administrator that deals with server uptime for exactly this reason.

We are currently in the process of setting up some technology that will prevent this from happening, although I can't go into everything on how it will work, we are in the process of setting up a fail over DNS system in another city and state, in the case that our main data-center would go down (which is highly unlikely), we will still be up in another city if something disastrous happened.

We are also working an option as we speak about a semi-hosted script that Tracking202 users can place on their website, that will allow the redirects to run through their website, and in the super unlikely events that both (the main data-center and the fail-over DNS disaster data-center) where to go down, their traffic would still be redirected.

-

Also on the response to shaving redirect, we've found that the best way to show people that nothing is being shaved is the abilitly to acutally follow live, every single click that goes through their PPC redirects. So at any time, someone could test it, and follow their traffic. Also unknowingly, it has worked out on that for the user because they can compare their actual PPC account click (estimates) with their estimated clicks on their affiliate network's statistics to see for themselves.

-

No I appreciate the questions, no it's fine nothing really about being negative. I can completely understand the questions and responses by everyone, if I was reading this I too would be skeptical of something like this at first for the same reasons everyone else has.

The two biggest issues which have been addressed here are asked practically by everyone each time they see it is:

#1: Keyword Security
#2: Uptime Reliability

We are going to do our best to make sure everything works great for everyone, the issues come up so often that it is clear it is a huge trust issue, if a super affiliate spends several thousand a day on Tracking202 and it goes down it would be very costly for them, and if someone was to steal keywords it would also be very costly to the super affiliate. Everyone someone asks us this it continues to strengthen are already strong reasons for doing whatever we can to make sure everyones information is secure, and online.

It's hard to try to convey understanding to everyone and I believe everyone is going to be very cautious at first. I believe overtime though we will have an ever better service for the affiliate marketers that do PPC with an improved product which will help a lot of people make money and gained trust in the product.

I know some WF members might think this is "corny," or "stupid" but honestly when I think of the thought of "stealing peoples keywords," or "shaving leads," I'm always reminded of the metaphor of killing the goose with the golden eggs. In that for example, a successful business that offers clam chowder does extremely well. Someone else sees the profitability of the business and buys the company. The calm chowder was originally the best soup in the whole city, and the new business owner wants to make more money. So he decides to start watering down the soup, at the first month the profits Soar, he is making a lot of money. But overtime the customers get displeased they start realizing the soup is getting watered down, and the service is no longer good, after 3 months the once successful soup kitchen is no longer in business. The new business owner who thought he was going to milk the goose that layed the golden egg, killed the goose instead, he cut open the goose to find more golden eggs, and ruined the whole thing.

Now I know this post is getting a little long, so I'm going to stop here, but as corny as that story might sound here on WickedFire, I truly believe doing bad with the information people have entrusted with us is killing the goose with the golden eggs. And I believe if that happened, Tracking202 would start come down, and it would fail, sooner or later because it was built on bad concrete that would eventually fall apart.

I think if you were to put yourself in our situation, with the goal of building a world class PPC Tracker for affiliate marketers, and you had people asking you everyday the same questions you are asking me, you'd probably also keep everyones information safe. I do not plan on ruining my name, by lying to thousands of PPC affiliate marketers in the future. If I was to personally ruin our image, and my personal image like that. People would think we were the most unethical people in the affiliate marketing world, and no one would ever do business with us, my personal name would be shattered! I think you would agree with me that loosing my image (just over keywords! and leads!) is More Expensive Than Any Keyword List That Money Could Buy.

Here's the thing...if our pal kazisdaman was actually providing this as a free service to 'give back to the community' or whatever, and people had this reaction, wouldn't he just say "Huh oh well, their loss, assholes" instead of sitting here, relentlessly kissing ass and trying to sell his credibility?

Sorry bud, nice try, but anyone with an IQ above room temperature can see right through your shit.

If you were trying to get the word out on your company, would you say 'their loss, assholes' without trying to seriously let people know the truth. Everyone keeps saying they see right through us but the fact is, they don't. They assume the worst and will believe whatever they want regardless if its true or not.

We got a great tool here we can use to find all the converting keywords ourselves. As soon as we offer it to the public, everyone goes into defense mode like we're trying to do a bad thing without giving us the chance to prove it. The best I can say is, believe what you will, we're really offering this to help. If you don't like it, you don't have to use it but you most certainly don't have to hate on us either.

I like this guy, I really don't think he has the intention of stealing anybody's keywords. If you read his blog he's trying to build this thing up into a profitable business... Wes Mahler - Building A Company To One Million Dollars A Year In Sales . The sad thing is that it'd be really tough to turn that awesome software into a million dollar company. Anybody that is big into ppc, will have their own tracking software that likely has the same level of tracking, without the pretty graphs. So likely the only people that will use it will be newbs, which probably won't have the money to pay for this software, or there be enough of them using it to make advertising on the site profitable. But either way, I like the kid, I think he'll do well in life. Just not in this endeavor. Good luck!

Elime......you took the words right outta my mouth

kazisdaman......seriously dude.......FUCK OFF this is Wickedfire not the warrior forum....we see your bullshit and it wont fly here :error:

I don't see the need for all the drama though. Like myself...many of us have no need for this shit. If you want to take the risk then take it.

Otherwise leave fucking the dude alone and his software.

What are some of the safer (paid) alternatives to this? What tracking software do you guys use?

You think that if you pay somebody they would be any less likely to take advantage of the data you hand them? There aren't many solutions like this out there. This is probably the best one I've seen. Only way to keep your data private and have an all-in-one solution as well done is this is to write it yourself or pay somebody to write one.

Look, simple business math.

Wes is pulling 10k per month apparently doing affiliate marketing himself. So, to make it worth his while to not abuse other peoples data for his own gain would mean his company would have to generate 10k+ per month in revenue from Ads on the Tracking site.

Now, even if he's lucky enough to find some affiliates willing to use the software, he's still got to find some advertisers that want to promote to those 10k affiliates for a reasonable fee or find affiliate offers himself to promote on a CPA basis and the likely outcome is that those offers won't convert terribly well given the types of folks being shown the offers (affiliates).

The only other possibly avenue for revenue is if the affiliates sign up via his links and he banks the recurring revenue for the referral from the networks, however, even that's probably an unlikely to succeed scenario as the people most likely to happily hand over there data are newbie affiliates that fall into the won't make a cent category.

It does look nice and 10/10 for effort, however, bear in mind this guy wes says in his blog that you are a sucker if you invest and don't get a 50% ROI (he's talking real estate and apparently still believes in those returns, despite everyone losing their ass in the last 3 years).

Anyway, personally, as has been communicated here, if you are big enough to need decent tracking you can either implement it yourself ( fairly trivially ) or outsource the production to india.
