I've been running ads leading to freebies for a couple of months without any problems. Today Yahoo blocked all of them "due to editorial issues". As usually no details provided as what's exactly wrong with them.

Does this happen often? Looks like they don't like freebies that much.

Changing text could help for a short time but I guess next time Yahoo editors stop by they ban the ads again.

YSM does not allow zip/email submits, doesn't matter if you use a LP or not. They've had that policy in place for at least 6 months.

Grow up dude, I'm not saying you can't still run zip/email ads - some will always get by - I'm just explaining to the guy why his ad was removed. They are banned by YSM under this policy:
Data Collection - We will not accept ads for sites whose primary purpose is the collection of personally identifiable information to be used for consumer or promotional marketing, or related purposes. Nor will we accept ads for sites that link to or redirect to such sites.

I recieved an email about this too today but mine may have been a bit worse

"This account will remain offline until all unacceptable sites are removed."

kinda shitty

If you read that policy and believe it you are in the wrong industry dude. Back to digitalpoint you go.

join the club. i had a zip submit running Direct link for 2-3 months with no problems. One day i got banned. then i tried an LP. ran for 3-4 days, then got banned. then tried new account. ran for a week, then got banned. It just wasn't worth my time...

The problem is that your "freebie" offers don't really give u something free. you need to do surveys, offers, etc. Yahoo hates that and they ban all those types of ads (eventually)

just not true. i have a good share of them going. It's the ones where you promise free stuff and then the user has to do all this other shit that Yahoo doesn't like. But do to Yahoo being retarded, there is no real standard fr these ads being disapproved. It seems random...

I have them randomly decline a keyword or two for a much shittier landing page for the same reasons. Just re-submit it and see how it goes?

its been like that for a long time. You can get away with it for a while, but they will usually find them pretty fast

Write ebook, your campaign, kws, and ad copy how to make $$. Sell it $500 per copy..I am sure there will be some people buying it..:rasta:

Thanks for the responses. I guess it's time to move on to the "real" offers. ZIP/Email submits are just not worth my time and effort if they can be wiped out in a matter of minutes.

Well, I learned the hard way. I worked hard to make a few zip/emails submits profitable. It worked for some time but it's not sustainable.

from my experience, changing the text ads will re-activate the campaign again. just keep doing that.
