Sign up, digg/stumble/propel non spammy shit you see. You get points. Then you put your own shit up there and people do the same. It's not the best, but it's decent. As long as your shit isn't spammy though, it can give you a good enough bump to give your shit a chance.

I have a fair number of SEO's/Social Media guys that read that dislike that service. So I just don't use it for the blog.
Beyond that, I have to stick really tightly to whitehat promotion for that blog, and I just like to make it clear that I do.
