Yahoo went and charged my credit card a few times to add funds to my marketing account, funds that I don't really plan on using any time soon. After sending an angry letter to their billing department, they're going to reverse the charges, and even better, switch me to their prepay deposit plan. In other words, instead of charging me whenever my account balance is low, I now get to decide when money goes in.

Unless you've been an active user for a long time, you can't make this change through your dashboard (and I didn't even know the option was available). If you want to save yourself a headache, just email their billing department and ask to be switched to prepay deposit.

They wanted to set me up on post pay awhile back when I was "making mad ringtones moniez!!1"

Nope, thanks, I'll stick to the pre-pay option

I called YSM when I first opened my account and made sure I was setup as on prepay. The only thing you need to be cautious about is your funds running out -- if they do, the minimum charge required to get going again is an average of your daily spending x 3 days.

The prepay method gets a little repetitive if you're expanding your campaigns or run into some heavy search volume and want to take advantage of it. I feel like I'm adding funds just about every other day... my daily budgets $400 and I'm cautious to dump in more than 5 days worth just in case something goes terribly wrong (ie. one of my successful offers gets pulled.) Rather not lock up more PPC funds than I really need to -- as I'm just starting (after 1 1/2 years) to do some larger numbers.

All you gotta do is call. It is a pain in the ass when you have a couple accounts though.

I also don't like how they won't let you deposit money less than 3 days of your spending if you hit a balance of 0.

Why Are You using YSM, Why Not Google Adwords .
In My Opinion it's Less Click Price if You Used it Wisely and More Effective SEM .
I've Bad Experience With Yahoo .

I use YSM, Adwords, MSN Adcenter, Facebook's ad platform, and Socialmedia.

Different vehicles for different markets.
