It also means Viacom will be able to sue US for copyright infringement. If they can match an IP with an account which has hundreds/thousands of videos which Viacom holds the copyright to, well, the account holder in question is fucked.
 
Indeed. Luckily, I don't have anything belonging to them, but if you do, I think it would be a good idea to ERASE them ASAP. It's the least you can do, and even if you think I'm overeacting, it's better to be safe than sorry. If you use bots to mass upload, this shouldn't be too much of an inconveniance anyway.
 
This has got bad news written all over it and I hope Google pulls through when they make it to the supreme court, if viacom wins its just going to open the doors for other companies, like Universal to attack all video sharing websites.

Also I don't want this to happen because it could possibly open up even more legal issues with my own video sites but obviously these things wouldn't happen overnight.
