What a fuck.
A prominent software programmer who had denied having anything to do with his estranged wife's disappearance even after he was convicted of her murder led police Monday to what is believed to be her body, defense attorneys said.

The abrupt about-face came just two days before 44-year-old Hans Reiser was due in court to face sentencing on a conviction of first-degree murder returned by a jury in April.
The discovery late Monday afternoon came after Reiser, handcuffed to another of his attorneys, William Du Bois, led police through Redwood Regional Park, defense attorney Richard Tamor said.
CNN affiliate KTVU reported that Reiser admitted strangling his wife.
The body was found in a grave about 4 feet by 4 feet, Tamor said. Reiser did not have difficulty locating the spot, the attorney said: "He went right to it."

Wow, that's too bad, I remember reading this story on Slashdot.

Big loss for the Linux / Open Source community.

Oh for God's sake, crims like this really piss me off. Yup, great, you've pointed out her body, but couldn't you have done that a while ago, like after you'd been found guilty?

I guess I'm just angry at the world for things like this - I mean really, is he going to get *that* much off his sentence for doing this two days beforehand?

Bah!

PS - shame about ReiserFS, I still remember the good old days ten years ago of turning a power-failed server on again and not having to wait an age with worry.

Hans Reiser was really helpful when I had a problem with ReiserFS a few years back. Now I know why, he was just happy for the distraction from the murderous inner rage.

What an ass. He was like:

I didnt do it.
I didnt do it.
I didnt do it.
I didnt do it.
I didnt do it.
I didnt do it.
I didnt do it.

If I show you where she is buried can I get a reduced sentence?
