What do you use for Tracking AM campaigns?

Wow this thread is like an official advertisement for prosper202.

I've just installed it and I have to say I'm very impressed with it. Just feel it's a bit slow at times and the layout is screwed when I view it in IE6. There are so many things that can be improved. Overall, I think it's pretty damn cool. Makes Xtreme Conversions look like a joke

But even if it's self-hosted, I still feel uneasy about it. Anyone here dezended the script to see if there's anything fishy going on?

Sorry out of topic, is it possible to hide the 'javascript' code on the bottom of the page so that people won't be able to find out about my tracking domain?

I know Wes the developer and there is nothing fishy about the script. He isn't out to steal campaigns. He just truly likes to program and wants to build up a network of tools. I told him in the beginning he could make a nice monthly recurring income by charging for these programs... crazy kid!

yes its been dezended and its clean

Thanks, but that is to protect the domain where we have prosper202 installed right?

Quantcast

Like if you do a check in quantcast, you'll get to see all the referral sites that are getting significant traffic to tracking202, (in fact I know the owner of a few sites there, LOL!). I don't want people to know what 'other' sites I'm running.

How do we hide the javascript on our landing pages to avoid people from checking out where prosper202 is installed?

I'm confused... Just because they know 'Site A' is using tracking, how will they know that you own 'Site B' ? I think I understand your concern in that if someone finds out you own Site A and it looks great, they will try to undermine the rest of the sites you own. However, I don't understand how they can link them together if you have private hosting.

Am I missing something?

Okay... I'll explain and see if it makes sense.

Let's say you have prosper installed on site A.

And you are running offers on site B, C, D, E etc and they are getting good traffic.

When someone looks at the source code of site B, they'll see the javascript code which will tell them where prosper is installed, which is site A.

If you plug in Site A into tools like Quantcast or whatever, it'll list out the referring sites... like i mentioned in the previous post.

Am I over worrying here?

Are you using a shared hosting account? Don't you install P202 on each website directly (I've never used it)?

And when the "referring sites" are listed wouldn't it list sites like Google or Yahoo or whatever?

My lack of knowledge with P202 may be the problem but I'm not sure.
