Has anyone tried SocialMedia and obtain positive results? I've taken successful strategies that I am using on AdWords/Facebook and branched it over only to have a horrible ROI.

$70 spent, $20.60 returned. It seems as if I generate TONS of clicks but no interest in the offer itself.

Try another offer ? I heard it's doing well for some ... personally i never tried it .

most people have been saying its hard to turn a profit. Def try a multitude of offers.

I've turned a profit on there, but nothing too great.
Definetely required testing many offers.

^^ nice, but it won't work for the most part, clicks aren't cheap enough (.25-.35 nowadays, I dunno what their doing with their inhouse ads, unless you do something that just looks blatantly like a facebook nav feature, your CTR will go up but you'll still get fucked up in click price).

And yah, i've tried and massive negative ROI after ~20 offers. Facebook might be a bigger pain in the ass at getting approved but atleast it converts somewhat. oh well, i'm sure it works for some but imo it's not really worth the effort. almost all the ads running are either by dell/microsoft or app developers (who apparently have an infinite budget or much more likely in house ads, run by socialmedia peeps and their apps).

SocialMedia will probably only be profitable if you are spending more than $5000/day. Thats when they give you access to the REAL targeting and lower click prices.

The big problem with Social Media is that they get a significant amount of traffic from applications including some that would seem to be "incentivized." I have noticed some apps give points/bonus bucks/whatever for looking at social media ads. Maybe this has changed as I haven't looked lately.

I know that incentivized traffic was a good portion of their apps traffic but I believe that atleast Facebook, last week, stopped allowing apps to incentive views, clicks and/or conversions within apps.

Had my first test with Social Media yesterday and was actually encouraged by the clicks that came through.. got a few conversions but not at the same rate I'm getting with the same ad on FB. Still going to test some more tho'.

Getting ads past the damn FB reviewers is always a drag (esp. after the recent slap) so Social Media is somewhat of a nice change considering no approval's necessary.

Btw hi I'm Dave and I'm (sort of) new here, haha. Gonna start posting more and getting involved esp. before ASE.
