Are you using a shared hosting account? Don't you install P202 on each website directly (I've never used it)?
And when the "referring sites" are listed wouldn't it list sites like Google or Yahoo or whatever?
My lack of knowledge with P202 may be the problem but I'm not sure.
nope:
Google/Yahoo (your ad) >> your LP >> P202 >> your affiliate link >> advertiser's page
Okay... I'll explain and see if it makes sense.
Let's say you have prosper installed on site A.
And you are running offers on site B, C, D, E etc and they are getting good traffic.
When someone looks at the source code of site B, they'll see the javascript code which will tell them where prosper is installed, which is site A.
If you plug in Site A into tools like Quantcast or whatever, it'll list out the referring sites... like i mentioned in the previous post.
Am I over worrying here?
Why would anyone trust their entire affiliate revenue stream to pass through another sites url?
Yes you upload subids for revenue and cost data for costs. So far mine is the only one to even tackle this. Prosper can't do this. Mine also allows rotation of offers so you can find winners real quick. (I'm sure this feature will be copied soon to the other trackers out there.)do yo also have to upload the subID's that converted so you know which keywords convert? if not, how does it track which SUBID's converted...

yea but its so difficult to install..maybe i was doing it wrong.
Curious what everyone uses to track their campaigns. A custom script? Something Free? Something you bought?
If you could share what you use, what the main features are, how much updating it requires, and how much you paid, that would be a huuuge help.
(as a bonus you can also say what its lacking)
thanks guys. trying to see all the options here....
Hmm been a while since I last checked it out, but if they can do bulk uploads of cost data for campaigns now, then I stand corrected. I also didn't know they had a built in rotation feature. My bad.P202 already does all of this. I'm not sure why you think it can't
A Java programmer buddy and I are creating our own, probably needs a month or two more work.
Currently just integrates with DirectTrack's Webservices API (OurFreeStuff, Copeac, CPAEmpire, MarketLeverage all have the same RPC style calls) and with AZ's easy SOAP API. Thats for "revenue sources" however.. for "traffic sources" (i.e. FB, Goog, Yahoo) it scrapes stats (FB) via a dirty PHP cURL script I came up with, and with the big guys it integrates with their APIs (much cleaner of course). Google has a ridiculously awesome (read: easy to integrate with, at least in JAva) Adwords API for managing search campaigns, but it does cost "per unit" when you do certain things. I haven't yet built safety mechanisms to make sure we don't get caught in certain loops for expensive operations (the most being scheduleReportJob), but maybe Google already did that.
Anyone else doing any part of this?
We may never even "launch" this thing (outside of a small group of guys I'm workin with) this year (if at all) because it'd take a large amount of time to support it, when really just making our daily PPC tracking/campaign tasks obsolete is the first goal. =)
I bring this up because I'd be interested in talking to guys goin to ASE (or just on IM) who are into this sort of thing, i.e. tech aspects of PPC tracking and automation. Just shooting the shit over drinks is fine, esp. since being social (i.e. boozing) is what these conferences are all about right? Haha.
I use my own "script"... It actually started out like that.. but now its evolved into a monster and I can confidently say its the best tool out there... Been in beta testing for several months now but I'm gonna release it in the next month or so...
Here is the URL with a few screen shots etc.. you be the judge *shameless plug coming*:

pretty slick looking, and of course your from israel, thats where all the best software comes from/
Sounds pretty sweet. You should talk to Wes from Tracking202 this is the main thing their system is missing maybe you guys could team up or you could release a plugin we could buy or something. Would save my ass a lot of time![]()
