Hi, I'm just getting started in affiliate marketing, and wanted to get some critique/feedback on my most recent campaign.

I made the following post on my blog, about hostmonster hosting services:
5 reasons you should be using HostMonster

And started an AdCenter PPC campaign pointing at the post (had a free $75 coupon there, hence why I am not using AdWords).

Is this a good start? any advice on tweaking the landing page? I've gotten a few clicks on the ads (0.4% CTR) and a few click throughs to Hostmonster's page, but no sales yet. (not that I'm expecting any, small sample size thus far)

I also haven't done much in the way of traffic building, does anyone have any advice there? doesn't exactly seem like social bookmarking material, but would article marketing be a good idea for something like this?

any help is greatly appreciated.

Your landing page looks like John Chows blog - with shit scattered all over the place. There is no definite call to action. Your ctr will always suck if Hostmonster is your primary target for promotion.

sorry, I misread your post. I thought you were saying the ctr would be low because hostmonster was a bad product to promote

Also, I wanted to put this on my blog because I already had some content and some traffic. Would I be better off to set up a new site to put this on, with some new, more focused content and a less "chow-like" theme?

Leave the blog the way it is if you want, but on that same site set up a separate page (landing page) with hostmonster - make sure you have links to that page from the home page and links on the landing page back to the home page, contact us page, privacy policy, faq, tos etc.
