Hello I'm a n00b blah blah blah,
*insert text here about reading wickedfire and it changing my life, started af etc*
anyway, recently I embarked on my first campaign which was lead generation for a medical centre, paying out at about $8 p/lead. everything started very well in the first month I had no leads invalidated and a full payout which left me with a very small profit.
All the leads I generated were done so using PPC, therefore when my second month was completed and I had doubled the amount of conversions I was pretty happy expecting a nice payout, however over 50% of my leads were invalidated (apparently they were already on their system?!) which meant I made a loss as I'd spent the budget on PPC and the leads I was banking on were invalidated.
Basically this post is a word of warning to other fools like moi, be careful with lead generation campaigns, PPC is probably not the best route as I found out!
Looking forward to being mocked
